Sometime around 7 I guess my phone started going insane. By insane I mean my alarm went off. Dear Maria, Count Me In by All Time Low blasted out from my phone. I groaned and tried to roll over to shut it off when something stopped me. I looked down at my waist and saw two arms wrapped around it. It was then that I remembered that Harry had stayed the night and all the memories from yesterday came flooding back. I stretched my arm out as far as it would go to reach my phone. I finally got it and quickly shut off the alarm. Looking over my shoulder at Harry, I saw that he was sound asleep. How he slept through my alarm I had no clue. He must be hard to wake up. I grabbed his arms and tried to gently untangle myself, but his grip tightened pulling me closer to him. I sighed and tried to pry his arms open. It was useless. Harry was stronger than me. I rolled over to face him. He looked so cute and peaceful asleep. Too bad that wouldn't last for long. I smirked and leaned in close to his face. As soon as I licked his cheek his eyes shot open. I couldn't help but crack up looking at the expression on Harry's face. He yawned and looked at me groggily. Harry burrowed his face into my pillow and murmured, "What was that for?"
His morning voice was huskier than usual and it was honestly a turn on. Harry still had his arms around my waist. I laughed lighty, "I couldn't get free."
He released my waist and mumbled a 'sorry' before falling back asleep. I slipped out of bed and shuffled to my bathroom with my phone and a fresh pair of clothes. I hopped into the shower and cleaned up. Afterwards, I slipped into an old pair of light blue skinny jeans that had rips down the front and pulled on my work shirt. Since I was suspended, I figured I might as well use this time to pick up extra shifts at the cafe I worked at. I picked up my phone and scrolled through my music looking for something to wake me up. I finally found Cotten Eyed Joe by Rednex. The song made me smile, because my family lived in Texas. My parents moved to England before I was born. I've visited a couple of times and it was absolutely lovely down there. Texas is just beautiful to be honest. I pressed play and set it into my iPod doc on my counter. Grabbing my blow dryer, I sang along to the song whilst drying my hair. "If it hadn't been for Cotton Eyed Joe, I would've been married a long time ago!!! Where did you come from? Where did you go? Where did you come from Cotton Eyed Joe?!!!"
I laughed at myself as I sang along. I was still singing even after my hair was dry. I walked out into my room still humming along while putting my hair into a side braid. Harry was smirking at me when I took notice of him. I grinned and asked, "What?"
He chuckled, "You have a erm.. Odd taste in music."
I glared at him, but ended up just laughing with him. "Hey! Don't diss my country music!!"
He just laughed and sat up stretching. Where the Green Grass Grows came on next and I hummed along while rummaging through my closet looking for my boots. Yes, I have several pairs of cowgirl boots. Don't judge. They are extremely comfortable. "You know you're not that bad of a singer, Lexi. You should try out for the school's talent show."
I looked at him like he was insane. "Um... I'd really rather not.."
I had horrid stage fright and I was also shy about singing in front of other people. It made me upset when people didn't like me for no reason, so I didn't want people to judge my voice. Harry furrowed his brow, but didn't push the matter. I was thankful for that but I knew that that would not be the last I heard of the subject. "Where are you off to?" Harry asked me curiously.
I smiled, "Work. I'm gonna pick up an extra shift. Wanna come?"
He shrugged, "Why not? Anything to prevent seeing how angry my mom is with me."
I laughed, "Well lucky for you, my parents are almost never home. Come on we have somewhat of a walk ahead of us."
The little cafe I worked at was about a 25 minute walk to get to. Harry slid out of my bed and shuffled to my brother's room slipping on the shirt I laid out for him yesterday. He ruffled his curls and fixed them. He smiled at me and pulled on his shoes. I locked up the house and we left heading towards the cafe. "So, what is it exactly that you do for your job?" Harry asked.
"I'm a barista. I make the drinks such as coffee and tea." I explained.

I went behind the counter after I picked up an hour long shift from my manager Terry. I made a piping cup of my special blend coffee and handed it to Harry. "Here it's on the house." I smiled.
He took the cup from me a waited for it to cool off a bit. "I have never tried coffee before. It's kinda sad."
I gasped over dramatically holding a hand to my heart. I laughed and said, "Then you'll really like this. It's a special blend I created. It's one of our top drinks here."
He nodded and took a sip. His eyes widened then scrunched up. "It's bitter, but really good at the same time!"
I chuckled, "Coffee is more of an aqquired taste. I'm glad you like it though."
I sipped on my own mug and we talked for most of the hour while I was still serving the steady slow flow of customers. After a while, Harry looked at me from where we sat in our own booth. As soon as I looked into those green eyes, I felt the butterflies in my tummy again. He smiled warmly, "Hey, are you doing anything tonight?"
I shook my head no. I couldn't help, but wonder if he was going to ask me out. "Well I was wondering if you.. Um.. wanted to go to the fair with me and Niall?"
He looked at me hopefully. My heart did a little flip. "Of course! Could I bring Erika with me? I mean if it's okay with you two?"
He smiled wider and he had a certain twinkle to his eyes. "I'm pretty sure Niall would love it if Erika came."
His iPhone bleeped and he looked at it sighing. "Mom wants me home. I knew I was gonna have to face her sooner or later. Wish me luck."
I laughed and got up with him. I wrapped my arms around his torso and he wrapped his around me. He enveloped me in his warmth. It felt nice and I was slightly upset when we parted. I waved and hollered, "Good luck, Harry!"
He looked over his shoulder at me and smiled giving me a thumbs up. He walked off in what I assumed was the direction of his house. I clocked out after a couple minutes and started walking home. As I was walking, I called Erika and told her about tonight. She was ecstatic and was flipping out. She hung up on me to start getting ready. My phone buzzed again in my back pocket so I pulled it back out. It showed a text from Harry that said 'Oh I almost forgot! We'll pick you two up at 8 ;)'. I grinned at my phone most likely looking mental to passerbyes, but I didn't care. Tonight was going to be a night to remember. I could feel it in my gut.
