I wake up early the next day and decide to watch the sunrise. I grab my gear and walk out of the drop ship and into the forest. I breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the silence. I look around and see something on the ground behind a rock. I quickly make my way over when I realize it's Wells laying on the ground. I drop next to his body and see the blood on his neck. I know he's dead but I can't stop trying to cover the wound on his neck with my hands.

“No, no, no, no! Not you too”, I start crying and panicking. “No! Please!”

I notice Finn with a horrified expression as he kneels down next to me and tries to calm me.

“Summer!”, he says, “Summer, stop! He's dead!” He pulls my shaking hands away and holds me tight.

After a few minutes I break away and look at him. “We should go and tell the others”, I say to him.

“Yeah, I go and look for Clarke”, he says. We get up and walk into the camp. I make my way over to Bellamy's tent and call for him. “Bellamy?”, I ask and enter his tent. There's a girl inside in her underwear as she tries to cover herself. Suddenly I feel anger boiling up and replace my sad look by a determined and hard expression.

“Excuse me?! Ever heard of knocking?”, she sneers annoyed at me.

“It's a tent, bitch! Ever tried to knock on a tent?!”, I spit at her. “Get your ass the hell out of here!”

She rolls her eyes at me and leaves the tent quickly. Bellamy just stares at me as guilt flashes across his face. “Sam, let me explain”, he starts but I cut him off.

“Wells is dead.” He looks at me shocked. “What?”

“Outside the camp. He was on watch. I found him when I walked into the forest. Finn already went to tell Clarke”, I say as I try to clean my hands, “I thought you should get informed about it.”

I turn around and leave his tent before he can answer me.

I make my way over to the fire pit and step on the log. I put two fingers between my lips and blew. An ear piercing, high pitched whistle leaves my lips.

“Time to wake up. Get the hell out of your beds and move your lazy asses out here! NOW!”, I yell over the camp ground as the first juveniles gather around me with tired and annoyed expressions.

When the last one eventually arrives at the fire pit I start talking.

“Okay. Listen very carefully. This morning I found someone outside the camp. Wells is dead. Probably killed by a grounder”, I say as I hear most of them gasping, “We will start to build a wall today. We should have a barrier for what ever is out there as fast as possible. Everyone has to help. No excuses! We'll use the fallen trees around here and parts of the metal of the drop ship that broke apart during the landing. So get ready and start to build that wall! Now.”

Everyone leaves and gets ready to build the wall. I see Bellamy walking over to me.

“Summer! Can we...”, he starts. “I'm sorry. I have to find Clarke. We can talk later”, I say to him as I leave him standing there to find Clarke. After a few minutes I find her outside the camp at Wells' grave. They already buried him. I guess Finn helped her.

“Clarke?”, I ask carefully. She jumps up with a knife in her hand and looks at me shocked with tears streaming down her face. “It's okay. It's me”, I say as I walk over to her and pull her into a hug.

“I'm sorry about Wells”, I tell her as she cries into my shoulder.

“It wasn't him. He wasn't the one that turned my father in”, I pull away and look at her questioningly as I wipe away her tears. Soon realization hits me.
