"Yeah, first of all." Blitz started, "What just happened to Hearth? Is he going to be okay?"

I glanced between Hearth and Blitz, "He should be fine, just something Amirah does."

Blitz blinked, "Okay, but what did she do to my elf. What was that stuff?"

I shrugged, "She likes to play matchmaker sometimes. But she didn't potion, or poison , or put a spell on your friend or anything, she just made something that was already there more intense." I turned to Sam, "But now that my siblings are gone for good, how can I assist? Need any awesome battle strategies, or a totally kick butt sidekick position you need me to fill?" I joked, crouching slightly, and raising my fists.

Sam snickered, and I heard a snort from Hearth's direction. "Actually dork," Sam said, "We were just running from bad guys, and needed a place to stay. How safe is this place?"

I shrugged, "My parents placed wards around the estates borders, cause having all seven of us in one place can be kinda dangerous. We're a major beacon for trouble. The rituals they cast can snuff out the scent of even the most powerful Chaos god. You guys can stay the night and work out what you're gonna do next."

I could see them physically relax at my words, Blitzen running his hand down his beard, "I guess it's better than the cold streets." I smiled warmly at him, "I also have, like, plenty of bedrooms, a battle strategy planning room, and a really nice bathroom, if you feel the need to shower. I'm sure we could get you some clothes too."

I thought back to my closet. I'm sure I could whip up something for them. That's what a klepto closet is for, right?

The next morning they were all decked out in their new gear, a solid plan, and a few unhealthy snacks. Sam, Blitzen, and Magnus all hugged me before they left, Hearth hanging around in the background. I smiled at Sam before they went out the door, "Remember, if you ever need anything, and I mean anything, hit me up, I might not be here, but you know how to reach me."

The previous night, I had visited Sam in her room before bed, and gave her one of my calling stones. Each of us sins got one stone from each of the other six, and we each got one of our own, in case we ever found any other beings important enough to contact.

I waved them off and headed through the maze of hallways back to my room. Strangely enough Debra was waiting for me on one of my sofas. "Hey dude! What's up?" I asked. She yawned and looked at me through droopy eyes,"I think you know." she hummed. "Please don't tell me someone followed us." I slightly cringed, "Was I not careful enough this last time, I coulda swore I had mom put that ward on my car."

She sighed, "No, it wasn't you this time, you're fine. Amirah brought a girl back the other night from the bar, and didn't realize she was a spy for 'em." I let out the breath I was holding and slumped. "We have to move again, don't we?" She shrugged, "You know how it is, you're lucky we found you before those oversized mutts ripped you apart."

I ran my hand through my hair, "I know, I just wish we could stand still for a bit longer. It was so good for so long. I kinda missed having some fresh faces around though. When are we leaving?" She stood up slowly, and started to walk towards the door, "Have all your stuff together by lunch. We need to leave soon, before they find a way in, and start a nasty fight. We don't want to level Boston, after all."

With that, she left, and I was left to start packing for a new place. I hope Sam and them are okay, especially Hearth. I almost couldn't stop thinking about his green tinted cheeks, and his air of mystery...
