(I know this is kinda weird but I had an idea and I had to write it otherwise I would never get it out of my head)

"Moon! I'm glad you're here!" Gladion chirped, clutching a stack of papers in his hand.

Moon's eyes widened and she scanned the boy up and down. He wasn't wearing his usual attire, and instead wearing a white uniform that resembled the Aether workers', except the cuffs were a deep red and he was wearing a red shirt underneath. The top of the uniform was unbuttoned just enough to see the shirt underneath. A gold Aether Paradise pin clung to the cloth right next to his heart.

"Woah Flower Boy, what's with the getup?" Moon asked.

"Mother suggested that I match the rest of the workers here. I'm not particularly fond of it, but I probably should've been matching ever since I took over. After all I do work here"

"She pick it out?"

"Yeah"

"I know you hate when she makes decisions for you, but please let her dress you more often" Moon begged.

Gladion rolled his eyes, "Do you have Rocky with you?" He asked.

"Why? Are you looking to get your throat torn out?" Moon asked suspiciously.

Gladion sighed, "No. I've just been doing some research on Lycanroc and I think I've made a breakthrough"

Moon dug through her bag for her Midday Lycanroc's Pokéball, "Okay but don't say I didn't warn ya"

Moon released her Pokémon from its Pokéball and it immediately bared it's teeth at Gladion, growling.

"Oh shut up" Gladion growled, leaning down to make eye contact with the wolf Pokémon, "I know why you hate me"

"You do?" Moon asked. Rocky grunted in annoyance.

Gladion stood up straight, "Oh yeah. And why he hates most men, too"

"Why?"

Rocky sat down, rolling his eyes.

Gladion suddenly pulled over a whiteboard from seemingly nowhere, a pointing stick finding its way into his free hand. Across the whiteboard were various words and pictures of Midday Lycanroc.

"Where did that come from?" Moon whispered to her Pokémon. Her Pokémon titled it's head in shared confusion.

Gladion pointed to one of the pictures, "See normally Midday Lycanroc, such as Rocky, do not travel in packs. When they do, it's normally because it's their mate and their children. Though sometimes siblings will separate from the parental units and travel together until they themselves find mates"

"Like that one pack!" Moon exclaimed.

Gladion nodded, pointing to various parts of the whiteboard as he spoke, "Yup. But see, females are very important in a pack- they represent peace and love. Whether it be romantic or platonic, the males feel the strong urge to protect any female of the pack at all times from outside males"

Gladion pointed at Moon with the stick and Rocky growled at him, "That's where you come in"

Rocky bit down on the stick and snapped it in half when Gladion never lowered it from Moon.

Gladion narrowed his eyes at the Pokémon, "Exhibit A..." he mumbled, "See you're part of Rocky's 'pack'" Gladion explained with air quotes, "He feels the need to protect you. Hopefully in a platonic way..."

The Lycanroc rolled his eyes.

"What's this gotta do with him hating men?" Moon asked, "Specifically you" she continued, lightly poking Gladion's nose. Rocky got up and sat in front of Moon, blocking her from Gladion.

Gladion smirked, "I thought you would never ask. Rocky's fine around Hala, right?"

"Yeah?"

"That's because Hala isn't of..." Gladion cleared his throat awkwardly, "Breeding age...But people like Hau, Kiawe, and even Professor Kukui and Guzma are of 'breeding age', so Rocky feels threatened by them. Rocky's claimed you as his female, so he's hell bent on keeping away any and all men capable of taking you away from him"

"And it definitely doesn't help that he's the only male Pokémon on your team..." Gladion mumbled.

"Aw Rocky, is that true?" Moon asked her Pokémon.

The Pokémon turned to look at her and lowered his ears sheepishly.

"Aw!" Moon cried, squatting down and wrapping her arms around the Pokémon, "You're always gonna be my number one guy, Rocky!"

The Lycanroc wagged his tail happily at his trainer's words.

Moon looked up at Gladion, "But why does he hate you so much?"

Gladion smirked, "He finds me incredibly intimidating because he believes that you are particularly drawn to me"

Moon's face grew hot and she buried her face in Lycanroc's fur to hide her blush.

Gladion chuckled.

Moon glared up at him, "It's not funny!" She exclaimed, standing up.

"Not funny" Gladion agreed, "Just cute" he said, turning and walking away.

Moon's face was about a million degrees as she stormed out of Aether Paradise, Lycanroc at her heels.

"Stupid Gladion..." She mumbled quietly, "People shouldn't come that good-looking"

Rocky grunted, having heard his trainer's words. Next time, he decided, he would show no mercy to Gladion.
