There was a slight knock on Carter's balcony door. At first she thought that it was just the wind, but then she heard it again, harder this time. She sat up slowly and walked towards the window. She saw a silhouette of a person. Squinting her eyes, she could tell that it was Jason.

Letting out a sigh, she walked to the door and opened it. Jason looks at her, his eyes soft.

"Jason what are you doing here?" Carter whispered.

"I know I'm not good with this relationship shit. I know when your dad says to stay away, I'm suppose to. But I couldn't stay away. I need you in my life I can't explain it but..." Jason bit down on his bottom lip thinking of what to say next.

Carter was in awe as she saw Jason struggle with words with his "feelings". He was never raw with his feelings towards her. They both were in love with each other. The type of love that if they walked in a room people would know. It was strong. They would do anything for each other. But it was dangerous love and they knew it.

So it took no time before Carter was up on her feet picking up her discarded jacket and shoes to put on. Once that was done she got out a bag not too small, but not to big and she began putting some clothes in the bag she planned to run away with Jason that would last a couple weeks.

Jason watched her and simply smiled because he knew that even though everyone else left him she wouldn't. He grabbed her bag for her and put it on his back and climbed down the stairs. He waited for Carter. She looked down at Jason and swallowed hard before they both ran to Jason's car.

Little did they know Carter dad watch them on the camera he had planted outside. He was furious. He grab his jacket and something then slid it in his waist band and made a quickly call to his friends before proceeding to his car to put a end to this once and for all.

"I TOLD YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM HER!" his voice boomed out loud as he walked toward Jason and Carter with his fist clenched.

He looked back at Carter and gently kissed her forehead and told her to go get in the car. She nodded her head slowly before running towards the car. Jason turned his head slowly looking at the car to she if she had gotten in safely.

Then he turned his head back to where he was once looking before he saw Carter and he was forcefully thrown on to the hard ground, making his head thrust heavily in discomfort. He laid back and groaned in an loud manner. Mr. Hart wasted no time on Jason. He surely wanted him to pay for not listening to his orders and for leaving the gang, but he said he was in love with her and would do anything to keep her by his side. He told him that it's pointless to keep them away because they will always find their way back to each other.

He blinked the reason because he knew the beef yet he stayed.
That only made Mr. Hart angrier. He swiftly dropped to his knees and began punching Jason repeatedly, causing shots of pain from every direction. Jason coughed and groaned as he pounded on him, there was even a mix blood and tears that swirled together on the ground. His punches weren't anything that Jason could handle.

Yeah, he could of fought back but even though he's Satan, he knew that Carter would never forgive him if he put his hands on her father. Before he met her he would of beat the shit out of her dad but she broke down his walls made him soft, made him someone better.

Mr. Hart shot one towards the side of Jason skull pulling him out of his thoughts then a clean shot to the left eye, making Jason clench his eyes shut a yell louder. Blood flew aerial from his mouth, splattering red spots onto the ground He holded his hand out and placed it on Mr. Hart chest urging him to stop.

Then Carter came running towards her father screaming "Stop! No!" with a rush of tears going down her cheeks.

"Carter move I need to handle business." he spat rudely at her as she crouched down in front of Jason.

"Daddy no you're going to kill him! I'll go with you just don't kill him please!" She yelled at her dad as she blocked Jason's body.

"N.. No Carter please I -" he coughed up some blood and looked at her with blood stained eyes and a bloody nose.

"No, Jason I don't want you hurt I love you. You deserve better." she leaned in brushing her thumb gently over his cheek then she leaned in closer pressing her lips against his kissing him passionately.

Mr. Hart saw enough and yanked Carter away, throwing her towards two buff guys they pulled her to the car she let out low screams and hit their arm and chest. She looked at Jason one last time and yelled "I love you Jason McCann" before they threw her into the passenger seat of her fathers car.

Carter Harts Point of View

I slammed the door to Ms. Underwoods office. Her room was dark, almost gloomy. It could easily make your good mood go away just by walking inside.

I sighed and walked all the way in. She looked up from her computer and smiled at me.

"Well, Morning, Carter." She spoke, motioning for me to sit in front of her desk. I made my way over and took a seat, reaching into my bag and pulling out the article.

"Here it is.." I mumbled and handed it to her.

She nodded and took it. I impatiently tapped my foot and waited for her to read it. The smile on her face instantly faded causing my heart to drop.

"Carter..." She sighed, putting my article down. "Look, you're amazing at this writing, but lately, it's been boring. You don't put enough in it and you talk about the same thing every time...that rich people stuff." She scoffed.

I frowned, honestly hurt by her words.
"If you don't step it up, and by that, I mean find a new topic that's actually interesting and won't bore people to death, I'll have to replace you, sweetheart."

And with those words, my heart shattered
