The stone cold floor froze my feet and sent tingles up and down my spine. I sat up, and surveyed my surroundings. Stone everything. Stone walls, stone floor, stone bed, stone door. And a person is standing in front of the door... staring at me. I looked down to see an old loose gown on me. Is this some sort of weird doctor office prank? The man continued to stare. Well, I assumed he was staring. He had sunglasses that covered his eyes, so I wouldn't even be able to tell if he was sleeping. I made sure my body was still attached and intact, and when I looked back up, the door was open, and the man was gone. He had a pretty fancy suit on. Reminded me of some secret agent. I dragged my feet through the small stone room and through the hallway beyond the doorway.

It was all white, so white it looked like it was glowing. Where even am I? What's up with the dude in the suit? And why am I wearing this? I pulled at the flowy fabric enveloping my small body. My red hair was frizzed and it laid on my shoulder, floating at every step I took. I kept walking through the hallway, and I eventually reached a large room with a glass dome, letting in light from the bright sky. And inside the domed building, everyone was just... stuck. Literally, frozen. I blinked and rubbed my eyes a few times, and I even pinched myself. What the-? A moment later, and the people were moving again- and it was as if nothing happened. Alright, that's normal. Yeah. This must be just a dream. Instantly a felt a pinch on my arm. I turned around and said "ow" as a girl who looked to be a little older than me started giggling.

She pulled her hand off of me, a smile spreading across her pale face. "I'm sorry, I had to," she said, "You must be new?"

"What was that for?" Was all I replied with. The nerve of this girl.

"Alright, I'll answer first, sassy pants. The name's Daisy. Well, that's what people called me when I arrived here. I don't know my real name. I pinched you because you thought you were dreaming, silly."

"Oh. Yeah, I am ne- Wait, how did you know I thought I was dreaming, and why am I a sassy pants?"

"I can hear your thoughts. We all have some sort of "super hero power" here. And what you did a few minutes ago back there, you froze time. I've never personally met a time girl, you're pretty cool."

"I froze...time?" Yeah, definitely a dream. No way this is real.

"You aren't in a dream! And yeah you froze time. Welcome to headquarters."

Before I could say anything else, a robotic voice spoke from above.

All trainees to the training grounds. All trainees to the training grounds. You will meet your new trainer.

I looked at Daisy and she instantly jumped and clapped with the most idiotic face I've ever seen.

"You get to meet your new trainer!! I think I know him. It's Talon I believe. Oooh he's cute!" She grabbed my hand and dragged me to a plain white wall. "In there," she pointed at the wall.

"Um, what? It's a wall, I see." I'm so confused.

"There's nothing to be confused about. Don't overthink it, silly. Watch me." She dropped my hand and walked towards the wall. Her body disappeared as the went right through it. I stared in disbelief, my jaw hanging wide open, when a hand reached through the wall and jerked me inside. The room was huge. Everything was pure white, and there were glass windows looking in to seperate rooms, each being what looked to be a large gym... except everything was white as well. In each room, there were people excersizing and talking and practicing. Daisy's hand was still leading me past each room until we reached one in the very back. Room 1147, it read at the doorway. We walked inside.

There stood a tall, muscular man that looked to be young, about my age. He had flames and an eagle with sharp claws tattooed on his shoulder and he was dressed in all black, with a muscle tank shirt and sweatpants. His blue eyes met mine as I entered the room, and he combed his fingers through his messy blonde hair, cut short. This must be Talon. I watched him scan my body with his eyes as Daisy introduced me. Daisy was right. He was pretty cute. I panicked realizing she probably heard that. I heard a little chuckle under her breath as I shot a glance over to her.

"Welp, I'll be off then! Have fun you two" she eyed me and skipped away. He grabbed my wrist and the coldness of his hand caught me off guard. He turned my arm over, and I noticed a number stained across my skin: 1955

"What's that" I blurted out. His gaze moved to my eyes, his lips slightly parched.

"It's your number. We all have one." His voice was a little hoarse. Letting go of mine, he turned over his own wrist. The numbers 1401 were finely printed on his skin. He took in a deep breath.

"Let's see what you can do."
