The bells rang all around, echoing down the halls, chasing other sound waves like children playing tag on the courtyard. A wave of students and chatter flooded the narrow paths.

A young rose took her time to gather her belongings. Not a would took the time to wait for the new comer.

The halls were nearly empty by the time the young rose made her way out of the stuffy classroom, besides the few who met up with friends before leaving for the busses.

Rapid footsteps sounded down the hall which fought the attention of the young rose. Three girls walked side by side at the same pace talking about the latest school gossip. "Did you guys hear about that freshman girl who went missing?"

The other two girls leaned in close to hear what their blonde friend had to say, "no we didn't hear anything about it! What happened?

"I heard she was over near the sand bunker at the side of the school and she disappeared into thin air!" She threw her hands up on the last words for dramatic effect.

This intrigued the young girl, so she stopped the girls and said, "excuse me," before getting the dirtiest look she has ever gotten in her life. "I'm new around here; do you think you could show me the way to the bunker?"

The blonde pointed to the northern end of the school, the opposite way the girls were headed.

"Thanks," the young rose smiled and turned to walk away. For a moment she turned back and said, "by the way I'm Eglantina, just Tina for short," in a failed attempt to make friends at her new school.
