Chapter 1:

      **Kellie**

I jolt awake to my alarm clock blaring the news for the day and immediately slam the off button. "I so don't want to go to school today," I grumble to myself. "Whoever thought getting up at 5 in the morning to get an education was a good idea should go to hell." Sighing in annoyance, I grudgingly pry my eyes open and slip out from under my cozy Batman sheets. Grabbing my clothes for the day, I stumble blindly to my bathroom to get ready for the hellhole of school.

After turning the lights on in the bathroom and getting my eyes used to the glare, I change my sweatpants and my Asking Alexandria tank top for ripped black skinny jeans, a black Bring Me The Horizon t-shirt, a red and black checkered flannel, and a replica of Ashley Purdy's star necklace. Mmm... Ashley is one nice piece of rocker. Too bad Andy already set his claim. I love Andley; it's pretty fucking beautiful. While I'm fangirling internally over band members, I straighten my hair, put on my usual mascara and eyeliner, and head back to my room to get my bookbag.

Back in my room, I realize my window is open, and a crumbled ball of paper is laying on my bed. Ally. I smirk. Of course she would do this. Chuckling to myself, I stuff the note under my pillow to read later. I close and lock my window, then grab my backpack and head downstairs.

"Food!" I screech while running down the stairs and to the kitchen, trying not to break any limbs or any vital organs in the process. I might need them sometime in the future.

"Shut up!" my parents reply.

I fake sniff while walking into the kitchen. "Pfff, you guys are so mean to me."

"We know," my mom says, "now go to school. I don't want to have to pick you up from anymore detentions this week."

"Fine, whatever," I grumble. Balancing my bag on my shoulders, I grab a bagel out of the toaster and slather cream cheese and chives spread on it. I swear that spread is the shit. I run to the door to slide on my red vans. "Bye, hoes!" I call before slamming the door shut, knowing that it'll annoy my parents. That's right, break that foundation. I walk down the sidewalk and put in my earbuds and turn on "King For A Day" by Pierce The Veil. Oh Kellic, you beautiful ship.

I slowly munch on my bagel, wondering what horrors I'm going to face today at school. There's probably just gonna be more of the same old crap as last year. Hopefully, the jackasses, a.k.a. jocks, don't bother me today. I swear I'm not going to hold back anymore. They've tortured me and my friends enough. I sigh, wishing it could be summer again, so I could just hang out with my hoes/my best friends in the whole warped world. I love them, but they put up with too much of my shit. I feel like I don't really deserve them.

I wish I brought the note Ally gave me to read it. It'd probably cheer me up a lot right now. Looking down at my feet, I concentrate on listening to my music. I turn through an alley and take the back way Ally and I found a year or so ago. We use it to get to school quicker since none of us want to get our liscense. Well, I guess now all I have to do is find Derrick, Jessie, and Al--

"Mug!" a familiar voice yells as I'm tackled from behind. I stumble and almost lose my balance, but I somehow manage to stay upright and not drop anything even with a ninety-five pound girl on my back, superglued around my body. Look at my skills today, damn.

"Ally," I shriek, "the hell!? You almost scared the emo out of me!" I pout. Ally starts giggling hysterically and jumps off my back.

"Got you good, Kell," Al replies, laughing.

"That was so not funny," I whine.

"Fine, whatever, weirdo," she smiles while trying to catch her breath. "Let's just go get Deer and Jess, so we can go, okay?"

"Fine," I grumble, "just please don't give me any more heart attacks today..."

"Yeah yeah, you know you love me, Kellie," Ally says, winking. I blush a little and start walking away, so she can't see my face.

"Whatever. Come on, Ally," I say as I turn back to look at her and give her a small smile, knowing that she understands what I mean by it. Al is the only person who knows why it takes all of my strengh everyday to plaster a fake smile on my face and give a semi-good attitude to the people around me. She also knows that it means she's special to me. She's helped me through a lot. I'll always be thankful to have her as my best friend.

I continue walking again with Al by my side--this time with her arm slung over my shoulders and my arm around her waist. Putting one of my earbuds in her ear and the other in mine, we turn on Black Veil Brides and sing our hearts out with our beautiful saviors, ready to face whatever's coming.

She's such a weirdo. But I still know I would never trade her for anyone else. She deserves something nice for once, even if I'm just temporary.
