I've been living alone for a year now. My brother left when he and a few of his friends started a band. They don't even have a name for it really, but they're pretty popular. I don't mind that he's gone, but it can get pretty lonely here without him since he used to live in this house before the band. It's nice without him, but it'd be better with him, too. I wish he would come home sometime, but it sounds like they're starting a tour, so I feel like coming home won't happen any time soon.
Oh! I never introduced myself! My name is Ashley. I'm the basic white girl, I guess. Curly blonde hair, ombré brown tips, green eyes, nothing fancy about me. My brother, though, Ben, he's quite the ladies man. His dark chestnut hair and his bright blue eyes woo all of the girls. I read online somewhere his smile could turn any man. I don't think that's true, but whatever. People will think what they think.
Obviously Ben isn't the only one in the band. They've got Andrew, their drummer. Duncan, their lead guitarist. Simon, their bass player. Ben plays back up guitar and sings back up vocals, and then there's Kyle, the lead singer. Kyle is basically a jerk, and he needs to find somewhere else to be. When I met everyone for the first time, Kyle was the worst person I've probably ever met in my entire life. I've met a lot of people, too.
I'm not here to talk about Ben and his band though, I'm here to talk about me, and how I got with the band. I don't even like singing in front of people! I hadn't shown anybody a song I'd written myself until it had been three years after I wrote it! I'm not a girl that enjoys doing things in front of huge crowds. It scares me. Gives me panic attacks. Not fun. Anyways, one day my brother came home. His lead singer had left him (shocker). He needed a new lead singer. Now I'm here, getting my hair done, getting my dresses picked out for me, getting anything that I want. Now I'm not so scared of huge crowds, because I know I've got my guys backing me up. I'm playing arenas with screaming fans that don't even really know much about me. It's crazy how far I've come and I want to tell you all about it, because now, I'm with the band.
