I was woken up with a book being slammed on my desk. Daamn. I was having a good ass dream too.

Mr Wriggs- Miss Knight. Sleeping in my class will give you an F.

Kailela- I wasn't sleeping. My eyes was just closed.

Mr Wriggs- Attitude? Would you like detention after school?

I rolled my eyes and played with the string on my hoodie. "Sleeping in my class" the fuck? This man don't even teach. Across the room I seen Quan shrek neck ass recording me and laughing. It won't be funny when I expose his nasty ass.

It was third period, meaning we had lunch.

Kailela- Delete that video you took.

Quan- Why? Seeing you get in trouble is hilarious.

We had walked in the cafeteria and our little group was already sitting down. My seat next to Melo was empty, like it should be.

Kailela- Are we going to the snack bar or the table first?

Quan- Food Court. A nigga hungry as hell.

I noticed at the table, there was a new face sitting near Dre.

Kailela- Who's that new girl?

Quan- The hell if I know. Why you asking me? My first three classes are with you, stupid.

I yanked on one of his dreads and he held his head as both of us were walking to the table.

Quan- Melo, I'm bout tired of yo "best friend" abusing me. I'm bout to file a restraining order.

I sat down and Melo looked at me in a weird way.

He looked directly at me when he said "be nice". Ion know why.

Andre- Cause you're mean as hell.

I faked a cry and hid in Melo's chest. I felt him sigh and put his chin on top of my head.

Stephanie- Uhh. Are they together?

O- No. They claim they best friends but we all know they fuckin on the low.

My phone lit up saying I got a text from Melo.
