The Queen's Princess

Chapter 1

Connie lay in Jacobs arms as they watched the film that was playing. He began tracing patterns on her back with his finger tips. His touch made her whole body tingle. "Jay" she whispered as she looked up and into his brown eyes. "Yes sweetcheeks" he answered while staring back into her piercing blue eyes. "After tonight I can't see you again, we can't, my stepdads forbidden me to see you and well I don't have a choice but to obey him" tears brimmed in her eyes. "We will meet again sweetcheeks we are written in the stars you and me" Jacob cupped her face wiping away the tears and kissing her passionately.

The following morning Connie woke early and got up to find something to put on after last nights antics. "Con come back to bed baby" Jacob groaned. Connie waltzed over to him, her hair untidy yet still stunning, her freckles prominent on her cheeks, her eyes still a piercing blue. "Jay I have to go, don't see this as goodbye but a see you later" she stroked his cheek. "How can I when I know I won't" his voice starting to crack. "I love you Jacob Masters and I always will, see you later baby" she bent down and kissed him. She willed herself to pull away but she didn't want to and yet she knew she'd have to. Eventually she pushed herself away from the warmth of his body. Connie stood up and headed for the door, she turned back and both had tears falling down their cheeks. "I love you Connie Chase for always" Jacob mouthed as she left the room and walked out his house and out his life.

Connie curled up on her window sill, not wanting to let the tears fall but not being able to stop them from coming. Kate, Connie's mum, entered the room "sweetheart I know it doesn't seem like it now but your father is only trying to do whats best for you" her voice was gentle and soft, her voice usually  soothed Connie but she was too angry at that precise moment. "He's not my dad, he's my stepdad and I hate him, I hate him so much" Connie screamed at her mother before collapsing on the floor crying into her hands. Kate rushed over and enveloped her into a hug. "Ssh mummys got you I promise I won't evee let go" Kate soothed as she rocked her daughter and stroked her hair. "I love him mum, I love him so much it hurts" Connie cried into her mum. That night Connie fell asleep in her mother's embrace clearly needing the comfort and support. Andy cracked open the door to Connie's bedroom, "Kate, what are you doing in here love?" he looked at the pair inquisitively. "She needs me so I'm staying here with her. Andy did you have to forbid her to see him, I know you and his family arent exactly best friends but can't you see its hurting her?" "Kate its what's best for her. I won't have her involved with that family and thats that, end of discussion" Andy abruptly left and Kate was left not knowing what to do for her little girl.

Connie woke to her mums arms wrapped around her, she smiled slightly knowing at least she still had her mum there. When Kate's eyes fluttered open a few moments later they immediately turned to Connie, whose eyes were still staring up at her. "Hey princess" Kate kissed her forehead. "Mum when will you stop calling me that I'm 16?" she laughed a little. "Never, you'll always be my princess". Connie cuddled into her mum and held on to her tightly. "I'll miss you when you go away" her voice barely a whisper. "It's only for a few weeks and we will be back in no time I promise. I can't be away from my baby girl for too long can I?" Connie shook her head.

Later that afternoon Connie stood at the front door in her mums baggy hoody and a pair of ripped jeans, looking at her feet as her mum and Andy packed the car. "Sweetheart anyone would think I was abandoning you" Kate came up to her and wrapped her arms around Connie. Connie buried her head into her mums chest. "Please stay safe mummy, I need you" Connie muttered into her mums chest. "I'll call every night and I'll text you lots ok" Kate cupped her daughters face and kissed her nose "better princess?" Connie nodded. Connie waved as Andy and her mum sped away in his new mercedes. She shut the front door and sighed looking about the house. This is when she'd invite Jacob round but she couldn't, not anymore. Since her dad's death, Connie didn't like being without her mum but Jacob had always managed to make her feel safe, now he couldn't be there to make her relax. She'd have to do it on her own.

Two weeks soon flew by but not without its ups and downs. Connie had recieved a text from her mum to say they were just leaving and Connie flitted about the house getting everything ready for when they got home. Four hours past and they still weren't home, the journey only took three hours and her mum would have text if they were stuck in traffic. Connie was staring out of the front window when her phone began to ring, it was Andy. "Andy where are you and mum?" Connie could hear his voice tremble as he began to speak, "you need to get to the hospital Connie, we were in an accident, your mum may not make it". Connie raced to the hospital, her legs aching by the time she got there but she pleaded with herself to carry on as she ran through the hospital to get to her mum.

Connie saw Andy standing outside a room, his head hanging low, his cheeks red from all the crying. "Andy" Connie's voice shaked. "She's in there, you should go in". Connie nodded and entered the room. She gasped as she saw her mum. Connie crept towards her mum and took her hand in hers. "Mummy its me Connie". Kate murmured. "Mummy I need you to stay with me, I found out I'm pregnant, please don't leave me" Connie wept.
Connie heard her mum flatlining and felt her hand go cold. Connie kissed her mums forehead, "sweet dreams mummy" tears streamed down her face as she left the room brushing straight past Andy.

Connie ran all the way home and up to her room, she took out a couple of bags and threw her things in them. She looked around her room one last time before grabbing her mums hoody from the side and leaving the house, leaving the life she'd always known, leaving because she was now alone...
