Being apart of the hygua clan can be good or bad. Its really good if you are in the main branch. It can be quite the opposite if you are a part of a side branch.
It sucked because of the curse mark situation. Me, Katie am a part of a side branch. A forgotten branch. Why are we forgotten you ask?
My great grandfather is the reason. He got in a fight with his brother who was the main person of the hygua branch at the time.
My parents, one of them was completely hygua. The other was a ninja from the hidden leaf. I wasn't exactly sure anything about them.
I personally don't know anything about neither of them just because I never knew them. Lord third told me everything I know about them.
He also told me why I don't know them. As I said they got in a fight. That got them banished from the hidden leaf. When they were banished they got swarmed by rival ninja. Anbu stepped in and saved me, as my parents originally planned for me to go with them. Although the Anbu didn't help my parents they did save me, at least that's what I've been told, it seems like my parents passing basically made it so that I was alone.
When I started to age, i decided that i was going to be a ninja just like they were. I wanted to be the best ninja. If I am able to become the best ninja there is, then my parents didn't die in vain.
This obviously caused a lot of confusion about myself. I didn't know what I was, I knew my father was Hyuga. But I had no idea who my mom was. She wasn't Hyuga. I was barely Hygua.
I had no prior information. Even though I had the abilities of the clan, I wasn't bound to the main branch. They didn't put the curse mark on me because they don't even know I exist just because my father was able to hide me from them. Even if they did would they even want me? I'm some sort of freakish breed between two clans, but nobody even knows my abilites.
I started in the ninja academy the same year as someone from the same clan, named Hinata. We both graduated, and I ended up on the same team as her, even though she had no clue that I had the Hygua abilities. Although my hygua abilites were far different, as I am a mix, i still partially have the kekke genkei, but I also have something else, something I can't tap into, as I haven't gotten advanced enough as a shinobi.
This team contained 4 people, Me, Hinata, Kiba(and Akamaru) and lastly, shino. Although our team is bigger than the ideal size, we still function perfectly.
I'd say we even function better than perfectly, they all have their own unique abilities and I have my own hidden ability. Even though I don't know much about it, I feel the more I train and practice, the more control I will have over whatever abilities i may have.
Socially I'm not the greatest, although i do know many of the people in my class, I'm not really friends with any of them. Its not because I'm lonely or anything, its just id prefer to be by myself. Even so, soon my adventures are going to take me to lengths that will help me find many friends, and it'll show how they make me stronger.
Now that you have been given the basic background lets flash to the a further date: The first day as a ninja.
I was sitting on the bench by my new team members: Hinata,Shino and Kiba. We were waiting for our new sensei, Kurenai sensei. Here we were going to be tested, we either won or lost.
She told us that we would essentially have to survive in the wilderness for around a week, which would involve a lot of predators, maybe even other ninja.
Overall we didn't know how easy it would be, but we did know one thing. We have one week to train, and I knew one thing. I can't fail this.
We all go our separate ways to start training, as there will be plenty of time for team bonding while we are in the forest.
I knew that i had to practice with my kekke genkai. Although i don't know much about it, I do know i'm some special mix of brute force and light force. It seems as if my parents were polar opposites, at least when they were alive.
Overall as a ninja i'm pretty exceptional, although i'm quiet, I still have some of the best test scores in the entire class, only one person has better scores than me actually--sasuke uchiha-- I wanted to face sasuke in combat badly, as they would be a very worthy adversary.
My strongest ninja art is ninjustu, as i have an extreme amount of chakra, but my chakra control needs some work. Through the week of training I catch on fast to how my kekke genkai works.
It seems to work like the hyuga's byakugan, but in a more brute way. It's basically a deadly combination between precise hits and stronger hits-- infused with chakra. Of course it is a harder jutsu to pull off.
Not only it seems advanced, but it also drains chakra fairly fast, which is a reason I am going to have to start working on my chakra control.
With these new deadly combination justu I invented, which will be know as the hidden leaf's brute fist jutsu. Essentially, I have been gifted power that is even rival to the hyuga clan themselves.
I knew that i wasn't close to mastering this justu,as there are many steps i would still have to take, but to be able to pull it off to the smallest degree makes me more confident.
Now welcome to current date, we are now moments away to going into the forest

thank you for reading the first chapter of this I have been thinking about writing this for awhile, so I just did, i guess. One thing to take note is this story will contain many characters from the series naruto--which I obviously do not own-- but it'll have a different overall story.
