As we enter the drop ship I can hear Raven voice as she tries to contact the Ark. “This is Raven Reyes. Ark station, please, come in. I'm on the ground with the 100.” But there's still no answer. “Are you sure you even have the right frequency?”, a girls asks her. “Yes, I am sure”, she snaps back. I walk over to her and grab her shoulders. “Raven, you can do that okay? Just keep trying”, I calm her and she gets back to work. I walk over to my brother who's laying on a table. I can't lose him again! Suddenly another voice fills the drop ship and everyone quiets down. “This is a restricted channel. Please identify yourself.” My head snaps up. “This is Raven Reyes. I'm from mecha station. I'm transmitting from the ground. The 100 are alive. Please, you need to get Dr. Abby Griffin! Dr. Abby Griffin!”, Raven says.

“Hang on, Raven. We're trying to boost your signal” Abby. Clarke's mom. “Raven? Are you there?” “Mom?”, Clarke speaks up and makes her way over to the radio. “Mom, it's me.” “Clarke?”, Abby gasps. She sounds like she's choking back tears. “Mom, I need your help”, Clarke says and her eyes flicker over to Finn's body. “One of our people was stabbed by a grounder.” “Clarke? This is the chancellor. Are you saying there are survivors on the ground?”, I recognize Jaha's voice. Wait! What? I thought Bellamy shot him. “Yes, the earth is survivable. We're not alone”, Clarke says, “Mom, he's dying. The knife is still in his chest.” “Clarke. Is my son with you?”, Jaha asks and immediately Clarke's face is filled with pure hurt. “Jaha? It's Summer Collins! I'm sorry. But Wells is dead”, I answer for her and she gives me grateful smile. “Abby, please! We need your help”, I plead and I can hear her ask to be patched through to medical. “I'm going to talk you girls through it, step by step”, Abby's voice is heard again. Clarke walks over to Finn and stands opposite to me, “You ready?” I slowly nod as we suddenly are thrown slightly by the wind, shaking the drop ship. “Girls, just find...”, but the rest is impossible for us to hear because it's muffled. “What?”, Clarke shouts. I turn my head to the radio, “Raven! What's going on?” Her eyes are frantic as her gaze shifts from me to the radio. “It's not the radio, it's the storm!” Octavia walks into the drop ship, water dripping from her clothes, with two canisters in her hand. “Great”, Clarke says as she grabs the canisters and hands me one. I inhale it's scent, “Ugh! Monty's moonshine?” “Pretty sure no germ could survive it”, Octavia grins at me. “The storm's getting worse. Monroe, close the door!”, Clarke commands. “But we still have people out there”, Monroe argues. “Jasper and Monty are still not back!”, Octavia mentions with a worried expression. “Neither is Bellamy!”, I say and shake my head. “They will find a safe place to wait the storm out!”, she simply says and Monroe nods hesitantly. “One stitching needle”, Raven says and places the needle in my hand. “Great, but we still need something to close the wound”, I remark trying to think of what we could use. “There's some wire on the second level. I used it for the tents”, Octavia speaks up. “That will do. Can you grab it for us?”, I ask her. “Yeah”, she nods her head as she makes her way over to the ladder. “Stay away from the blue that run through the ceiling! I rigged it to the solar cells on the roof! That means they're hot! You got that?”, Raven calls out to her. “Yeah, I got that!”, she says and starts to climb up. “Hey. They're back”, Monroe pipes up and I turn to the door. “Bellamy!”, Octavia shouts as Bellamy enters the drop ship his clothes also drenched from the rain. I frown when I see two of his followers carry someone in. The grounder. “What the hell have you done?”, Octavia yells at him. This isn't gonna end well. Bellamy's dark eyes finally settle on me. “It's time to get some answers”, he says. “Oh, you mean revenge!”, she snaps back. “I mean 'intel'”, he sneers with a disapproving look at her. “Get him upstairs!”, he barks at the boys who immediately start to drag the grounder up the ladder. I walk over to him and stare at him in disbelief. “Bellamy! This is not who are!”, I gently. “Girls? We're ready. Can you hear me?”, Abby's voice fills the drop ship. Bellamy looks shocked in the direction the voice came from. “Bellamy, she's right”, Clarke tries to back me up. “It is now”, he looks at me as his eyes soften when suddenly Abby's voice fills the drop ship again. “Clarke? Sam? Are you there?” Bellamy clenches his jaw. “I'm sorry. But without her Finn will die”, I say with a shaking voice. All he whispers is, “I know.” He leaves me standing there and climbs up the ladder to the upper level. “Sam? Can you hear me?”, Abby asks again. “Yeah, So the blade is at a sharp upward angle. Between the sixth and seventh rib”, I inform her pacing up and down. “Okay, how deep?” “It's hard to say”, Clarke tells her as she looks at the knife. “Maybe a couple of inches”, I add. “Okay, just don't remove the knife yet.” I hear light scuffling of feet behind me as I see Raven pacing back and forth as well. I pick up a bottle of Monty's moonshine and take a big sip of it and pour some over my hands to sterilize it and hand it to Raven to sterilize her hands. She takes a big sip as well and cleans her hands. “Sam! Do you see any fluid?”, Abby's voice booms through the drop ship.”Wha...”, Clarke start but I gets cut off because of the loud delinquents around. I put two fingers between my lips and whistle as loud as I can. “ DAMN IT!Clear the room! Everybody, get up to the second floor! NOW! GET YOUR ASSES UP THERE!”, I yell at them and they all start to move. I feel Finn's forehead and his temperature is up. “Abby? He has a fever. I know it can accompany trauma, but it's really high”, I say in a worried tone which makes Raven rush back to his side. “We just need to focus on getting the knife out and then the temperature should go down. Well remembered about it accompanying trauma though”, Abby praises me bringing a small smile to Clarke's face. “Okay, I need you to tell me if there's any fluid leaking from the wound”, she asks again. “No”, I say after checking the wound. Abby mutters something impossible for us to understand before she speaks up again, “That's good. That's actually really good. He got lucky.”Raven smiles at him as her eyes water, “Hear that? You're lucky”, she whispers to Finn. I notice the uncomfortable look on Clarke's face. After preparing to take the knife out I inhale deeply. “Can you do it? Or shall I do it?”, Clarke asks as she hears my shaky breathing. “I have to do it. He's my brother.” She gives me a reassuring smile, “You've got this.” “Okay. Sam! Firm grip on the knife. You're gonna need to angle it upward and to the left. Very slightly to the left as it exits the rib cage”, Abby explains. “How very slightly?”, I question as I look down at my brother and hold up my hands ready to pull out the knife. “3 mi...”, the sound cut out. Raven rushes over to the radio. Of course, we're the lucky ones to be stuck in a storm when someone gains such an almost fatal wound. “Wait! What was that? You dropped out.” “Summer! 3 millimeters. Got it?”, Abby repeats. “Yeah. Okay, I got it. Here it goes”, I say as I lay my hands on the knife. “Steady hand, Sam. You've assisted me on trickier procedures than this. And once the knife is out the hard part is over”, I hear Abby say calmly. The drop ship shakes again. “Alright. Extracting now”, I announce. I grab the knife and pull very slightly when suddenly Finn's eyes shoot open and he lets out a pained groan. “He's waking up!”, Raven cries. “Okay, Raven, I need you to calm down and help me hold him down”, Clarke instructs in a calm, but firm voice. She places her arms across his chest and hold his arm with her other hand as does Raven on his stomach. “Finn, I'm gonna get that knife out of you, okay?”, I tell him. “Good plan, princess”, was all he manages to say since he is still gasping in pain. “Finn, you can't move! You got it?” I say as he groans again and nods. “Okay, here it goes.” “Nice and slow, Summer!”, Abby says. “Finn, do not move!”, I say I begin pulling out the knife, “Almost got it. Hold still!” Suddenly the drop ship lurches from side to side and sends us all flying to the ground. Somehow I managed to hit the right side of my head again so the wound on my eyebrow opened again. I groan in pain as I reach up at the blood streaming down my cheek. I shoot up and focus on Finn who got thrown to the ground as well beside Raven in the middle of surgery. But the knife is out of his chest and he's still alive. He's very lucky. I hear several people scream upstairs. “Clarke? Sam? What's happening? Girls? Can you hear us? Summer? Clarke?” “It's out. She did it”, Raven speaks up and I can hear Clarke sigh in relief as she shares a small smile with Finn. That's not going unnoticed by Raven nor me.
