Obi-wan's POV:
I had heard the screams of 2 innocent people just moments ago and I could feel a tear in the Force. What I didn't expect was to feel the Force urging me to go and look around at the scene of where the fire took place.
There was burnt debris everywhere. It was silent. Too silent. Until I heard cries. The cries of a... baby? I found myself rushing to the source of the crying and began picking up pieces of the debris to find what I expected to be a baby boy from the shrill sound of the crying but instead came upon a baby girl wrapped in a white blanket which had the babies name sewed into it. Katrina Jinn. Wait. As in my old master Qui-Gon Jinn? But How? After all that he taught me. Looking into the baby girls silver eyes I could sense how strong the Froce was with her. I could feel the sadness she felt. The thought of this child being left all alone made me sick to my stomach. If this was the child of my deceased master then I wouldn't want to just drop her off into someone else's arms. I wanted to take care of the child myself. Maybe, if I could get her to the council and ask permission I could start to train her. After all, Anakin has completed his training.
3 years later:
It has been just barely 3 years since I began training Katrina. She's turned into quite the threat towards others. Especially those who use the power of the Force for their own gain. She shows great potential. She can already cause explosions with her mind and alter people's thoughts which took me 10 years to master. I have tried to protect her from being sensed by the Empire but it has become difficult as I move her from place to place and we have had near run-ins with them in the past year or 2. I don't know what I would do if anything were to happen to her. She is just like Qui-Gon. Hard-headed, cunning, strong-hearted, kind, and intelligent. What I'm guessing she got from her mother is how emotional she is, and her beauty. I have tried to protect her from the clutches of the dark side, but her emotions tend to get the better of her at times.
