My family always had financial issues, but it never really affected my life until now. Ever since Scotty moved out my parents have been struggling with money. I got part-time jobs to try and help provide some stability but with that on top of school, it just wasn't working out. Scotty offered numerous times to give my parents money, but they always refused. For whatever reason, I'm not sure. Maybe they just didn't want to tarnish their ego. So, Scotty offered them the next best thing: take care of me, with my consent, of course.

To be honest, I wasn't to keen on the idea of moving in with my brother and his friends, but I wanted the best for my family. So here I am, in the airport, waiting for my brother to pick me up and bring me to my new home. I sent him a text once the plane landed so he should be here any minute now. While I was waiting I already picked up my luggage from the baggage claim.

"Kheagan!" I heard Scotty call from across the room. I look up from Snapchat and jump up, grinning. We walk to each other, meeting in the middle.

"Hey Scott! It's been forever," I pull him into a hug and just stand there, taking in his scent. This is really happening. Never would I have imagined that I would be living with Scotty and his friends. It was all surreal for me.

We pull away and immediately he pulls out his vlog camera. I roll my eyes at him and snicker. Typical Scott. He introduces me to "everyone" and tells them how I'm moving in with him as we are walking to his car. I just tune him out and listen to some music. It was a long plane ride and I'm exhausted.

Finally Scott puts away his camera when we get to the car garage.

"It's about time," I tease, shoving his shoulder a bit.

"Yeah, whatever. You're just jealous that I have fans," he jokes back with a chuckle. "Want me to carry one of your bags?"

"Sure, thanks," I say with a shrug. He takes my duffle bag from my hand and heaves it over his shoulder with a grunt.

"Do you have bricks in here or something?" I give him the evil eye and he holds up his hands in surrender. I had to pack all of my essentials: a flat iron, my mac, all of my shoes, clothes, toiletries- yeah you get the point.

"How much longer until we get there? We have been walking for ages," I groan.

"We are almost there. The car is right at the top of this turn."

After what seemed like a mile walk (but was actually probably 500 feet), we got to the car. And I couldn't believe my eyes.

"You have a Tesla!" I exclaim and drop all of my bags in excitement. A spurt of energy came over me and I jump up and down, clapping like a child.

"I wish, Khe," Scott says with a smirk on his face. "This is my friend's car, unfortunately. And currently he is doubled over laughing at your amusement." He points to the drivers seat and I see a boy, probably in his early twenties, laughing hysterically at me and a vlog camera in his hand. Great, now the whole world can make fun of me.

"Scott, that wasn't funny!" I pout and cross my arms, deliberately acting like a child when I see him joining in with the boy's laughter.

"It kind of was. Now get into the car while I put your bags away," he demands.

"Shotgun!" I exclaim before he can open his mouth and claim it before me. I graciously hop into the beautiful car and buckle up, ready to be home.

"Dammit," Scotty swears before I slam the door shut, making me giggle softly.

"Hey, I'm David," the boy in the driver's seat says, turning to me. "Do you like my Tesla?" And with that he once again bursts into an uncontrollable laughter.
