Chapter 5 - "Young, Old, Ancient"

"Is there a need to exaggerate yourself so much old relic?"

Jian Chen appreciates the old dragon but this narcissism was taking a toll on his nerves.

"Oh what do you even know about the glorious days I've had in the past"

After getting to know Jian Chen, Nirvana wasn't that much apathetic towards him and was actually delighted to know that the secret skill of the ancient he was guarding fell into the hands of someone like him.

"Yeah yeah I get it old relic."

"But before we try this 'highly exaggerated' technique of yours which can supposedly show me the 'divine way' of which you spoke of earlier, I still need to heal my meridians and ignite my Qi force again"

Jian Chen was very cunning and tried to mock Nirvana to know the actual essence of this technique. In reality Jian Chen doesn't the dragon but actually anticipates on what the dragon had told him earlier.

"Kid, I think you are underestimating the ancient technique way too much!"

"You are worried about your puny meridians being healed? Hmph!. I can tell you one thing that if you start cultivating in this technique then forget about the meridians being restored you might even breakthrough the Fighter Apprentice level in just a couple of hours from having no level at all!"

Nirvana was furious now after seeing the face of no interest on Jian Chen's face and blurted out the thing Jian Chen had been anticipating about.

'Hehe old dragon, you think you are very smart just coz you are a couple of million years older than me? Heh. But hearing that i can breakthrough from level 0 of Fighter Apprentice to Qi Master in just a couple hours? It's not like I can breakthrough by myself but to do it in just a couple hours considering the damage it brings to the user's body and the impact, it will still take me a month's time to do it by myself!'

Jian Chen thought to himself that if what Nirvana said was in fact a solid fact and not mere exaggeration like Nirvana himself then this 'Morphing Bloodline Art' might just be the greatest technique in existence to his re-collection. He thought of it not on the basis that this technique could make him breakthrough a whole realm on Apprentice level but based on its massive potential!.

"Old relic, if what you said is true then doesn't that mean it has a very short span of development? Considering how fast it lets me breakthrough. You should know that once a technique has been imbued in a body, it is very difficult to shift to a new technique, it might even damage the body as a whole"

Jian Chen was a very proficient cultivator and took his every step with high caution. Listening to Jian Chen talk about damaging the body due to the 'Morphing Bloodline Art' Nirvana was sneering at the ignorance of this youth.

"Brat! What do you even know about it?!"

"This is a technique made with only one goal in mind and that is crushing everyone underneath your feet!"

Jian Chen was still acting as if he's not interested in the technique and was probing Nirvana to indulge him with more information about the technique. After all, no matter how much older an ancient dragon might be, but the controlling and manipulating abilities of humans is something that cannot be surpassed even if a dragon god were present.

"Kid don't waste much of my time and start the initial stage of the technique and ignite your Qi"

By this time even Nirvana got a hint what was happening and didn't want to waste time on simple probes.

"But before you start you must become my apprentice scholar and call me your master!"

Nirvana didn't want to waste such an opportunity of bringing down Jian Chen by his narcissism.
