Far off the border of Vale, a lab, crumbling and torn as well as covered in ice, stood tall with moss and vegetation growing slowly. It has a story, a symbol that defines insanity and cruelty. The symbol was a shaded diamond, wrapped with a black coil. This place was known as Prism, an organization that experiments the use of dust in many ways. Only lately they've been experimenting on humans. Dust that was established there wasn't just for clothing and weapons, actually, human bodies were being injected and bathed in individual elements. Be it on the skin and even in blood and bone. Five months ago, before the destruction, there was one person, a child who's sixteenth birthday approached. He was locked away with arms shackled to opposing sides of the walls, and mask made of iron to hide his face. The room he was in was blank, yet cold. His body was scarred and punctured due to the needles and constant cutting of his skin. The lead director, Vladimir Jekk, goes to visit him. He walked into the cell that held him. "Ah, Subject Zero." He sneered with a snake-like grin. "Or would you rather the name Glacier Jack as my former colleague christened you?" The boy remained still, not moving an inch. Jekk smiled as he tilted his head up as if to force him to make eye contact. "No matter, I've come to let you know that you are a perfect specimen. Someone so young can manipulate ice and even double its molecular build with the tinies of particles in the air, magnificent." He basked in the glory of his work. Someone who has lived their life as a toy and even witnessed a murder by this man. The skin may be cold, but Glaciers blood boiled upon listening to him. Jekk snatched his hand away from his chin and gazed at him. "That scar on your chest is proof that we've made a breakthrough. If only Natasha could see her adopted son now. Oh, how rude of me, I forgot she was punished in front of you for attempted betrayal."
Jekk continued to pester Glacier as he was chained and masked. He relished in the fact that punishing his motherly figure would prove that escape is futile. "Well, I should be off. Before I go..." He stopped mid-sentence as well as in front of the door only to turn his attention to him. "Happy Birthday, my glorious weapon." He chuckled, soon to burst into a maniacal laughter. The door shut, Glacier was now listening to the silence within the room. His body twitched and even began to move. The shackles began to frost, the opening of the mask leaked a cold breath. It was only a matter of time. By the passing hours, a guard rudely walks in and tossed food onto him. "It's time to eat runt." Glacier didn't respond, a faint breath leaked out and disappeared. The guard scoffed and chose to taunt the imprisoned child, punching him in his damaged torso. "Didn't you hear me? I said it's time to eat!" He assaulted more with glee. The blows only agitated him more and more. It was time, time to escape, but not before punishing all who worked under Jekk's orders. A snap was heard, the chains were severed from the center link. The guard stopped and looked to see Glacier stood there with arms down. With his arms free and movement now possible, he looked at the guard and delivered a swift kick to his body, knocking him to the cold frosted ground. "H-hey, I...I was just having a bad day, I-I didn't mean to..." Before he could formulate a sentence, he was struck with a chilling blade that lashed across his neck. Blood was sprayed and even painted the jagged, cold blade that was formed. Glacier walked out to feel the air around him was getting cold, and the halls were freezing over. His cell was the only one far away from the others.
As he looked around, a guard turned around the corner and saw that he was free. "Don't move!" He shouted out while aiming his rifle. A swift movement and fast reflex, the guard soon met his end. More soon approached and saw the body and a running pool of red leaking across the floor. "Sound the alarms! Subject Zero is out!" One of them began to fire as the other hits the alarm. The blaring sound and flashing red lights alerted the scientists and even Jekk. "What is going on?" He used his computer to reach contact with one of his soldiers. With a response, he heard gunshots and sounds of liquid and pain echoing through. "Subject Zero is free, he's slaughtering all sol- Gah!" Before he was announcing Glacier's actions, he was soon murdered. Jekk slammed his hand on his desk, fury and fright mixed in while he contemplates. From that point, Glacier walked through the halls with body revealing his aura. An icy blue veil made itself known as his power grew stronger. Not just Prism soldiers are getting massacred, but the scientists as well. The screams of everyone echoed near Jekk's office above the floor. Anger swelled within his very core, he made haste to leave the facility before he met his assumed, early end. Glacier didn't let up, he made it to the other scientist where he encased them in ice along with the rushing soldiers. Glacier continued as his power grew and aura became more visible. The guards unleashed a barrage of bullets onto his body while sparks appeared from him, only to stop in their line of sight with an icicle in hand. The area became coated in ice while the soldiers stare down sight with their weapons drawn and pointed to the escapee.
