HARRY’S POV

We don’t have recording today. The management gave us a day-off after a week of whole day sessions.

I just can’t believe myself, waking up damn early, because, that little miss of mine (as I fond of calling her) wasn’t replying so much to my sweet morning and evening texts or so I thought.

I’d have to catch her somewhere there in the studio to personally ask her out or something that maybe could work out after all. I can’t believe myself chasing after someone who seemed to be avoiding me, but as her simple small smile appears on my imagination, I can’t damn help myself but to feel hyped and excited or something that I couldn’t decipher.

I parked this convertible I borrowed from Zayn to see Lynn’s Rover already parked on her usual spot. I immediately climbed down this posh car carrying my cup of iced latte and sprinted to the gate to the elevator and pressed 6. For sure, she’ll be there, doing her job or something. Thank God, news really spreads so fast to the fans, and no one of them is waiting outside.

I took few big gulps of my drink as I patiently waited in the lift as I stared at the black screen till it read 6. I stepped my foot out as soon the doors open, and looked around the hall of doors. Silence is all I hear after the elevator door shuts.

I’ve seen posters of three different Broadway productions as I walk down to the first door to the right. The lights were closed. I’ve took two more doors to be welcomed by dark rooms; the lights were off. This floor seemed to be some sort of dance rehearsal studio rooms with walls covered with mirrors. Is she in some sort of play?

I sighed in defeat as I walk back to the lift and not knowing what my little miss really does? Realizing how much I still didn’t know about her apart from her name.

Where could she possibly be if her car is parked right outside?

I waited for the lift as I contemplated where possibly my little miss roaming around in this very building. I accidentally glanced at the first poster I passed by earlier to see her picture under the Mary Poppins poster which will be in a month, two months before our next tour. As questions and curiosity stuck my brain all at once, I heard the elevator door open to see an old maintenance man pushing out his cleaning supplies.

“Mornin!” He greeted with a smile and glanced up to me.

“Morning!” I greeted back reflecting his keen mood as he stared back at me, and furrowed his brows.

“You don’t work on this floor, aren’t you, son?” He asked.

“I, uh.” I was caught off guard. Why does he have to ask? “I, uhm, looking for someone, a girl, this tall” I raised my hand up to my shoulder to sample little miss’s height, “with dark chocolate hair and I think she works here?”

“Oh,” He smiled, and walked further the door as he noticed that I am making my way around to get in the lift before the door closes. “You might see her at the deck. But I sure am, you would not want to disturb her.”

“What?” How does this man knows these things about her? “Why? I mean, I am talking about Lynn, if you know her.”

“Lynn. Right. That place is her peace place as she called it.” He smiled again. I am growing impatient as how this man proudly answers my questions as if it is already bluntly presented on my face. I wouldn’t ask in the first place if I know, wouldn’t I? I shouldn’t have asked him.
