They all stood around his grave. No one talked, no one cried. The only sound she could hear was the heavy rain hitting the grave. Guardians weren't immortal. Who've even thought of that? They just lived for a extremely long time.
"Who's going to take his place?" A voice said. No response. Alissa had never been to a funeral before, and it looked like she wasn't the only one. No one knew what to do, what to say. The funeral lasted several more hours, before they left. As they were walking away, she glanced one more time the grave.Fredric Quartz

Cause of Death-Murder
Body: Never foundAlissa sat in her dorm, thinking.
"I wonder who will take his place? "It's high chance it's someone in our school!" Her friend finally said. Violet was a girl filled to the brim with joy, she always found the good in anything or anyone. Alissa could only pull a fake smile. "Your lying to me. I know it." Violet said with a silly/serious face "I can always tell if you're faking a smile" Alissa chuckled at her. "I made you laugh! You know the price! Tell me what's wrong!"
"It's just that...If we are chosen for his job, the murderer is still out there. And they want what's inside of Fredric's territory" (territory is the name for the place a guardian is guarding) "And they will kill anyone that's in there way" Alissa said. It was partly the truth.
"So in short, you're scared of death? That's nothing to be scared of, Ali!" She said with a big smile on her face.
"Basically. Yeah" Alissa responded. After about a minute of chatting, the announcement bell rang.
"Will every student report to the main hall?" Both Alissa and Violet ran toward the hall.
