You started your self-training early the next day. Really early, you didn't want anyone to notice you. Everyone was informed that the next group training session was Saturday. Today was Wednesday. That gave you only three days to improve!

You worked so hard, and by the end of it you were exhausted. You were able to get back to your room and into bed without waking anyone.

(Charles' POV)

(Y/N)'s chair was empty at breakfast. Nobody had seen her yet. Maybe I really was far too harsh on her. I got up from the table and decided to look for her.

She wasn't outside, like I expected her to be. I went to her room and knocked on the door. There was no reply. I gently pushed the door open. She was fast asleep. I left her room, carefully shutting the door behind me.

(Author POV)

The same thing went on for the next couple of days. On the third day, you would see if it had helped at all.

You were outside before everyone else. The effects of being late still haunted you. For a moment Charles looked at you differently, as if he was worried for you, but that moment passed quickly. "(Y/N)! Seeing as you are so prompt today, do you mind going first?"

You would have liked to have been confident, but, the words "not at all" got stuck in your throat. Sure, you had worked yourself to bone for three days, but that didn't necessarily mean you were as talented as the rest of the team.

You took a deep breath and let it out slowly. Your eyes were fixated on the ground. You tried not to shake, as that's what had lead to your major downfall last time. You heard... applause? Your eyes slowly trailed upwards. You had actually done it! They couldn't see it, but you were grinning from ear to ear. "Yes, yes, it was great. BUT, you haven't been here as long as everyone else and have a lot to catch up on"

And that was when you lost it.
