Hold On Till May (Tony Perry)

Chapter 1

Tap tap tap
The sound of my shoes against the pavement was all I could hear. I pulled out my phone and checked the time.

Fuck.
My mom is going to litteraly kill me.

I put my phone back on my pocket and kept walking. I focused on how quick I was moving my feet. I realized I was almost running and thought running wouldn't be a horrible idea. But I decided against it because it was obvious I was already in trouble. It's almost one in the morning. I was supposed to be back from my best friends house by at least 11.

I left reality for a second. Just thinking. Looking up at the sky.

I wonder if anyone has ever gotten lost out there.. you know.. In outter space. Not neccesarally humans. Just anyone I general. Aleins, monsters, stuff like that.

"Shit I'm sorry. Are you okay?" A deep voice said. I looked up at the man. He was pretty tall. Choclate brown eyes. His hair was back in a beanie, so I couldn't see it.

"Yeah I'm fine. Are you?" I asked. He nodded.

"I'm kinda lost.. can you help me?" He asked.

"Sure. Where are you headed?" I replyed.

"Ester. I know I'm in the area. I just can't find my way to it."

I laughed a little. "I'm going the same place. I'll walk with you." I said in more of a question than a statement.

He smiled "Sure" and we started walking

"So what's your name?" I asked.

"Tony. You?" He said.

"I'm Enya." I smiled.

"I like your name. Very unique." He said. I just smiled at him.

"So how old are you Enya?" He asked.

"I'm almost 17."

"Nice. I am 17." He said. I nodded.

"So are you just on a different side of town or are you visiting family?" I asked.

"Actually, I just moved here." He said. I looked at him like he was crazy.

"Who would want to move here? Out of all places. This place is literal hell." I said louder than intended.

He chuckled. "I noticed. You're the first even remotely nice person I've met so far."

"Wait until you get to school. That's gonna be fun if you think this is bad." I laughed

"Yeah. Real fun." He said laughing with me.

"Well.. This is it." I said. He looked at me funny.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"This is Ester." I laughed.

"OH" He said laughing.  "Thank you Enya." He said. I nodded and walked toward my house.

"Wait! You can't just leave! Lemme get your number or something!" He yelled at me. I smiled to myself. And walked back to him.

"I'll give you my Snapchat." I said. He handed me his phone and I quickly typed in my username and gave him his phone back. He smiled at me. I smiled back and walked back to my house.

I took a deep death and walked into my house.

My mom stood up and smacked me.

"I'm sorry mom" I said looking down.

"You should be! You had me worried sick!" She said pulling me into a hug. I smiled and hugged her.

"Now go to bed baby. You have school in the morning." She said. I nodded a walked upstairs to my room.

I opened the door to my room and felt my phone vibrate. I opened my phone and say Tony had snaped me.

All it said was hey. I quickly added him back and said hey back.

I got ready for bed and told Tony I was going to go to sleep and fell asleep to the sound of the rain against the roof. I hoped Tony got home safely. I hope he's out of the rain. And with that I drifted off into a peaceful dreamless sleep
