1.Be alert. Keep track of the people around you.

2.Stay neat. As the Gryffindor prefect, losing things isn't something I'd want.

3.Be prepared. Being a prefect means you have to prepare for unexpected things, even taking points off of your own house.

4.Never panic. Prefects never panic.

5. Don't goof off. If you goof off, you aren't a prefect.

6.Stay calm. Staying calm helps you think.

7.Stay neutral unless it's important. Prefects don't pick sides.

8.Keep your dignity and respect high. Prefects should be treated like leaders at all times.

9.Be the smart one. If you earn the professer's respect, they'll support you.

10.Never give up. If prefects give up, who'll keep everything in order?
