I knocked one the door of my friends Sophia's house, music was blaring and I could hear the mumbles of people in the background. I had been dreading tonight for months now.
Sophia came to the door in a off the shoulder tight long sleeved black dress with her brown wavy hair falling down to her waist. She looked amazing.
'CHARLIE YOU'RE FINALLY HERE' she screamed
'HEY' I replied as she hugged me tightly
She grabbed my hand and dragged me into the house and shut the door behind me.
'I want you to meet a few people, follow me' she said as she grabbed my hand and dragged me to a room filled with sweating teenagers with various drinks in their hands
She led me over to a short girl with dark straight hair with huge green eyes
'Charlie this is Monica, Monica this is Charlie' she proudly shouted above the music
'Hey nice to meet you, I have heard so much about you!' Monica kindly replied
'Good things I hope!' I giggled
Sophia handed me a glass of some mix of alcohol that was spread throughout the house
I sipped on it and felt the warm feeling of it sliding down my throat, I definitely needed more of this to get me through the night.
I noticed that I was suddenly left alone so walked outside to get a breather from the smell of alcohol inside.
I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around to be met with the softest brown eyes I had ever seen. They belonged to a boy slightly taller than me with glossy brown curly locks.
'It's getting hot in there' he laughed
'That's why I came out here' I replied
'I'm Brad nice to meet you ...?'
'I'm charlie, nice to meet you too Brad'
'So how do you know Sophia? I've never seen you around before'
'Me and Sophia have been best friends for years, I moved down yesterday so she invited me here tonight'
'Ahh so hopefully I will be seeing you around more' he said with a smirk on his face
'I'm sure you will, curly'
' Hey! since when did I give you permission to call me that?!
There was something about him, the way he talked, the gleam in his eye or the way the corner of his mouth smirked. For some reason I couldn't take my eyes of him, he was beautiful.
I was snapped back into reality and realise I had been staring at him.
'Charlie?'
'Sorry I have to go!' I turned and began walking away
'Wait! Can I at least have your number so I can see you again?'
'Sure' I replied whilst I tried to contain my happiness
I typed my number into his phone and walked away, what was I doing?!
The cutest boy ever had just asked for my number so I walked away? There was no logic behind my actions
I finished my drink and went to find Sophia
'There you are! I have been looking for you! ' Sophia shouted
'Sorry I went outside to get some air and started to talking to some guy'
'OMG who?!' She questioned
'Hmmm brad I think' I knew his name was Brad but I didn't want to seem into him as I knew what would happen
'AHHH Brad' she said with a smirk on her face
'What?! Why the smirk?!' I asked her
'Oh nothing, I should have known he would go straight for the new girl'
'What does that mean' I snapped not meaning to sound rude but I had no idea what she was on about
'Oh nothing, he just has a reputation around here, come on let's go!' she said and dragged me to a small room cramped with teenagers dancing and singing
I finished my drink and downed another one to make me feel more comfortable, stupid I know
The night continued with me and Sophia drunkingly singing and dancing, I was actually having fun. More than I thought I would.
