Chapter 4

Chapter 4 Rarity's little gem

Jade Belle - 3 years old.

In this chapter in the lives of our humans turned into ponies, we look at Jade Belle.

"When are you going to do Orion? I want to see the adorable Alicorn colt!"

That is going to be the last chapter I do because he is an Alicorn.

"Fiiiine. Just get on with the story."

I was just about to do that before you interrupted me.

"Well excuuuuuse me! Princess!"

Hey! There is no need to bring Link into this mess! Let's just get this started.

"Jade dear, could you go and grab some rubies from the red chest?" said Rarity as she finished sewing the seams of her newest dress.

"Sure thing momma." said the dark blue filly, "the one at the top of the pile?"

"Yes, deary. Be careful and make sure you don't hurt yourself! Remember what I showed you." Rarity said worriedly.

"Ok" Jade said enthusiastically.

Ever since she found out she could do magic she had wanted to help her mom out whenever she could. Finally Rarity and Elusive agreed to teach her how to levitate things with magic. They also taught her the rules of magic. Make sure the object isn't heavier than you can lift. Keep your magic from overloading. And make sure it's safe to use it.

Jade was a quick learner and easily managed to lift chests and boxes with ease. She could also be very steady with a needle and thread when using her magic. Unfortunately, the chest of rubies seemed heavier than she imagined and stopped trying to lift it down before she hurt herself.

"Aunty Sweetie!! Can you come and help me!" she called out.

"Of course. What is it you need Jade?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"I need help getting the box of rubies down for momma." she said.

"Alright I'll help you lift it. Ready? One, two, and lift!" she said as the two unicorns brought down the chest.

"Thank you aunty!" Jade said as she hugged her.

"It was my pleasure, Jade." she replied.

Jade walked back towards the room where Rarity was stationed and handed her a handful of rubies.

"Is that enough momma? Or do you need more?" she asked.

"No that will be enough to finish the dress Jade. Thank you for your help! I couldn't ask for a better daughter!" she replied.

"I love you momma!" she said as she returned the hug.

"I love you too sweetheart." she said, "now let's finish the dress together shall we?"

"Ok" Jade said enthusiastically.

"Sweetie Belle! Don't forget about your appointment with Photo Finish! If you don't make it on time your new album will have to be delayed for another month!" Rarity said.

"Don't worry about it sis! Everything is all ready and waiting in the taxi!" she replied.

"Good luck Aunty Sweetie!" said Jade.

"Thanks a bunch Jade." she said as she hugged the little filly.

"See you at dinner!" she said as she walked out the door.

"Bye!" said Rarity, Elusive, and Jade at the same time.

"Alright let's get back to the dress so it will be ready for Sapphire Shores daughter, Ruby Coast." said Elusive.

"Jade? Do you want to put the finishing touches on the dress?" asked Rarity.

"I would love to!" she replied.

"Now remember what I taught you about placement. If it doesn't look right don't glue it down. And always check your design reference." said Rarity.

"I better go and finish Tony Romonos tuxedo for the EFL draft or whatever he called it." said Elusive as he walked up to his personal study.

"I'll be in the kitchen giving Opal some lunch so if you need anything just tell me." said Rarity.

"Ok!"

"Hmmm now where are the major places full of Ruby patterns?" said Jade as she looked at the design sheet.

"It doesn't look like they're in any pattern. Why did momma leave it like that?" she asked herself.

Little did she know that Rarity was watching her from the kitchen to see what she would do. Rarity knew her daughter was creative but wanted to see what she would do if left on her own.

"Alright let's try this pattern." she said.

"No that doesn't look right. Let's try this one."

"Ok getting better but let's trying add a little bit more here and here."

"I think I've got it! Momma can you come here for a second!" she said.

"Ok course deary what do you nee- *GASP* What did you do to the dress!" she said.

"I-is it bad momma?" she asked in a sorrowful tone.

"Bad?! Goodness no sweetie! It's just the opposite! It's absolutely gorgeous! You came up with that on your own?!" she said.

"Yes." is all Jade could say.

"Honey, I think we should get you a sketch book and beginners sewing kit. Would you like that?" Rarity asked.

"Absolutely momma!" Jade replied.

"After Sweetie comes home we will show her this dress and go out after dinner to get you a sketch book." she said, "How about we bake some cookies and make some lunch?"

"Ok! Can they be chocolate and sugar cookies?" Jade asked innocently.

"I guess you deserve a treat as good as that. Let's go make some chocolate and sugar cookies." Rarity answered.

"Yaaaaay!" she said, "Can we bake enough to share with my friends?"

"Why not?" she replied.

"Double yay!!" Jade said as they walked into the kitchen.

Rarity and Sweetie have a really good relationship with Jade because she reminds them of their younger selves. Also Elusive is a secret Football fan.

"Tony Romonos? Really that's all you got?"

You try writing stories at 11:30 at night!! It's hard to be creative plus I was gonna finish this chapter yesterday but I got sidetracked!

"Youtube?"

Maaaaaybe. Plus I might have watched the Season four finale of My Little Pony.

"It was awesome!!!"

I know!!! I thought it was a great way to end the series even though it completely botched all of my theories about the end.

"Pretty much"

But it also makes it more complicated for me. The library where Twilight lived was destroyed so now it's canon. That makes it difficult for me to try and change a few things. Although I have a few ideas of how it will work I need to wait until Season five to confirm what I think.

"True dat."
