Growing up in a world where we're constantly influenced by the expectations society throws at us, I find it very important to bring awareness to some of the negative impacts the social influences present in our world have on our lives. From personal experience and the experiences of peers, I knew that a large majority of teenagers face these drawbacks on a normal basis. This novella is the outcome of all these experiences and stories put together as one. Even though the characters, settings, and general aspects of the novella are fiction, the feelings, emotions, problems, and impacts present have all been inspired by true events.
As you read the novella, I hope you learn more about the long-term negative impacts our society can have on teenagers and realize that the first step to subsiding these drawbacks should be to acknowledge that they exist in the first place.
