My fingers ran across the thick cracked spines of used books, stopping every once in a while when I came across a book with an interesting title. I was supposed to be finding a book to use for research for an upcoming history project, but I had succumbed to the temptation of finding my next favorite novel.

I spent most of my time in the library reading, or finding the next book to read. For as long as I could remember, reading had always been a habit, the way a stream of words could jump off a page and form an image in my mind, had never failed to amaze me.

I smiled to myself in satisfaction when I finally found the book I'd been searching for.

Suddenly the book was snatched from my hands, I looked up in a surprise at the book thief.

"Um, excuse me, but that's my book" I exclaimed, holding out my hand, waiting for the book to be placed in it. Instead the boy ignored me.

"Hmmm, German Depth Study, just what I was looking for, thanks!" He grinned at me, his spectacular brown eyes sparkling in amusement.

I narrowed my eyes and snatched the book back. " As I said before, this is mine"

"Oh really, why isn't your name on it then?" He took a step closer, and I knew he was preparing to get the book back.

"How do you know it's not? You don't know my name." I stepped away from him, my back hitting the old mahogany bookshelf behind me, before I'd realised my mistake. All to soon, he lunged forward , just as I raised my arms, trying to get the book away from him.

He collided into me, bumping his head against mine, before a series of books came tumbling down on top of us.

"Ugh! Look what you've done!" I cried out to the very annoying boy ,half sprawled on top of me. I suddenly realised how awkward our position was and shoved him.

"Me! This wasn't my fault! I was just joking around! Your just way to serious!" He laughed. He rolled onto his back beside me, running a hand through his thick dark hair.

Ugh who was this dude anyway , coming over thinking he could destroy my peaceful reading time! I officially already hated him!

I stood up quickly, readjusting my floral patterned summer dress. I stood above him, finally getting a good look at the intruder of my personal space.

I was shocked! He definitely wasn't an unattractive person, and bad boy delinquent vibes were radiating from him like the sun. Except he was much darker in a dark grey t shirt, half covered by a leather jacket and black jeans and boots. My eyes traveled from his clothe clad body to his face where his eyes were closed, his unfairly long eyelashes creating shadows on his cheeks.

He had tanned skin and a perfectly sculpted face. His eyes opened to catch me staring at him "like what you see?" He smirked "take a picture it will last longer"

I blushed, wanting to give a smartass comment back. " I will and then I'll throw darts at it!"

I realised how lame it sounded as soon as it came out my mouth. I sighed and blushed harder at my awkwardness.

Lots of time in the library, meant little communication with people.

He erupted into laughter, no doubt at my expense, " is that....... is that the best ..... best comeback you have?" He managed to stutter out between chuckles.

"Yes and so what!" I frowned.

Finally he'd stopped giggling . "Nothing it's just that it was kinda lame" he chuckled, standing up.

"Whatever" I rolled my brown eyes, and put my brown wavy hair into a ponytail. "Let's just put these books back , and go our separate ways"

"Fine, but first I'm giving you a lesson on comebacks!" He muttered, placing books back on the shelves.

I sighed , not replying. I mean it's not like I wanted to spend more time with this totally infuriating but totally gorgeous guy, but he was offering to teach me some valuable information. Plus I'm all about learning.
