It was quiet today. Peaceful and harmless. The beach house was empty, except for Pearl. Steven is with Connie, Amethyst is with Peridot and Garnet is on a solo mission. Pearl was sweeping along to a beat of the radio, when a ring from the home phone interrupted her humming. Pearl lent the broom on the kitchen bench and picked up the phone. "Hello this is Pearl speaking." She said as she waited for a reply. "Hey girl. It's me, Sabina from the concert." A deeper female voice sweetly said. Pearl blushed happily. "I've tried calling but, no one would answer." Sabina said, as her tone dropped sadly. Pearl's blush vanished and shyly frowned. "Sorry, I've been trying to find my friend's son after we lost him in space, and things have been so hectic!" Sabina laughed. "How do you come up with these epic excuses?" Sabina asked curiously as a smirk appeared. "Excuses? Please. Would you believe that I'm 10,000 years old?" Pearl cheekily smiled. Sabina smirked, "But you're not right?" "Oh please, I'm only 9,476 years old!"
Sabina and Pearl talked for another hour or so. "Hey, we should meet up,again!" Sabina smiled brightly. Pearl smiled even brighter. "Yes! But where?" Pearl asked curiously. "How about somewhere casual, like the Big Donut where we met? Then we can go to the beach after." Sabina exclaimed excitedly. Pearl was smiling brighter and brighter with each word. "How about 12:30 tomorrow?" Asked Sabina. "Yes! Yes!" Pearl exclaimed happily. They both hung up smiling. Pearl picked up her broom and hummed the tune of Love Like You.
Peridot and Amethyst were chatting away as they opened the fly screen door. Pearl twirled with the broom, but then realised Peridot and Amethyst were watching. "Oooh! You seem cheerful." Amethyst teased. Pearl blushed. "I'm meeting Sabina tomorrow at 12:30 and I can't wait!!" Pearl exclaimed brightly. Peridot smiled for Pearl, Amethyst looked down a bit. "That's great P." She said, trying to be enthusiastic. "P-dog, lets go." Amethyst said walking around Pearl, advoiding her.
