"Are you sure? You know, that it's quite risky, right?" My mom asked me for the thousandth time. Of course I was! This is what I was aiming for for so many years. I would risk everything just to meet him once. Sadly you couldn't control when you where born. But now there might be the possibility for me to control the time and travel back, thanks to my father. "Mom I already told you. You know that it's my dream and my destiny to do this. I know that it's not completely safe but I turned 18 today so I can decide for myself and fulfill my dream. You gave me the pinky promise, remember?" "Yes I did, but.." "No Mom," I interrupted her, "it's too late now besides it's just for a couple of minutes." She looked nerved at me but I saw the warmth in her beautiful green eyes. She knew, that this was a decision of mine, she'd never be able to change. All of a sudden every person in the room got silent. It was because my father finally turned on the machine. The machine that would change my life forever. The little lights started to flash in different colors and my enthusiastic father waved at me to tell him the exact time and place I would like to travel to. I walked quickly over to him because I didn't wanted everyone to look at me. Especially not my jealous sister. She always wanted to be a reflection of me. Unfortunately I felt them all staring at me. My father smiled cheerfully at me and waited until I typed in the date , the time and the place. 08/29/1968 Michael's 10 birthday, 1PM on the Gary/Chicago International Airport. "Ready?", he asked me. I looked down at my black dress with the white dots wich was selected for me to match the fashion in the 70s. I walked energetic into the small spot in the machine and answered "Ready!" with a big smile on my face. Out of excitement I closed my eyes and heard all the people outside the machine talking and my father closing the door and relocating all the levers. Finally he pushed the last one down and I felt a strange feeling in my stomach. The last thing I examined was my mother wishing me good look and telling me, that she loves me. It was to late to answer. The machine started to shake slightly and I knew that this was a good sign. I would see Michael in a couple of minutes.
