The Island of Elements

Chapter 1

Ivy hopped out of bed and immediately checked the clock. She sighed in relief seeing that see wasn't late. She quickly changed into a soft green dress and slipped on a brown jacket. She combed through her light brown tresses and pulled her hair into a bun. Ivy grabbed her backpack and ran over to the kitchen and grabbed a poptart and stuffed it in her mouth. She pulled out her pen and wrote her parents a note. Ivy was super excited. She was going to Rune Island, the island of secrets and treasures! And she was going to the island with four complete strangers, how mysterious and romantic! Okay, maybe not complete strangers. She was going to be with the children of her parents' business partners so she could be with someone her age on the island instead of being accompanied by her maid and the butler. She ran outside and called a taxi. This would be the best vacation ever!

Adara slowly rose from her bed and climbed out. She checked the clock. She was early, as always. She brushed her long, red, hair and braided it. She changed out of her silk nightgown and pulled a black shirt and a red skirt out of her closet. She wore her purse and grabbed her luggage. She elegantly walked out of her house and gave her luggage to her butler. She gracefully stepped into her car and buckled her seat belt. "To the airport, please." said Adara. Rune Island. The place everyone wanted to be at. This would definitely boost her popularity. She was actually excited to go to the island, to not be under the radar of her family, but she would never say it out loud. This will be the best vacation ever.

Mira woke up and stumbled out of bed when she saw the time. She was late! She changed out of her kitty pajamas and into a blue shirt and a black skirt. She put on some leggings and a black jacket and grabbed her luggage. Luckily, she anticipated this and put her purse in her luggage yesterday. She pulled on her sneakers and tugged her dark brown hair in a ponytail without bothering to brush it. Mira grabbed her keys from her nightstand. She ran outside and hopped in her car and drove off. She couldn't wait to swim in the crystal clear seas of Rune Island, or see the shining waterfalls. This would be the best vacation ever.
