The man did not turn, but he did answer. "I do have a wish, genie, but I doubt that even you could grant it."
Fuli became angry. How dare this mortal question the extent of his power?!
"I can do anything! Name it, and it shall be yours."
Sighing exasperatedly, the man turned to look at the genie for the first time. "I want love. No, I want more than that. I want love with someone that is as beautiful as I am handsome. But alas, no one can match me."
With a fury that matched Hitler, he granted the wish with a clap of thunder.
"It is done."

"What do you think is wrong with him?"
"I do not know, he has stayed there for the past three days! Heaven knows how he's alive."
The man took no notice of the maid's whispers. He only stared at his true love. "Alas! My love, will you not return my affections?" The man's reflection echoed the words. The reflection in the mirror was perfect, but could not be his. This angered him.
He stood, staring at the mirror to the end of his days, while whispers and rumours and tales lasted far beyond him.
