Lights. Bodies. Music.
It was competition day for the San Jose State University dance team. Genevieve Bronson, co-captain, was dancing on a tall platform. The song "Can't Stop the Feeling" by Justin Timberlake was blaring through the speakers as thousands of people watched in the crowd. Spotlights were flashing over the dancers as they moved their bodies to the choreography of the song. Everything was going perfect.
And then it wasn't.
Suddenly, without any warning, Genevieve was pushed off of the platform and fell eight feet to the main stage. The music was shut off immediately and the dancers swarmed her to see if she was okay. But she wasn't. Genevieve was unconscious, and she was bleeding from a large wound on her forehead. The spotlights were turned off and someone called 911.
As the paramedics came and whisked Genevieve to the hospital, only two things were going through everyone's minds.
Who pushed her? Was Genevieve even alive?
