A few months after, I bought a ship. It’s a small old ship for fishing. I want to unwind and forget all the things. I want the ocean to witness it, the sun to enlighten me and the wind to revive me.
Years later, I graduated at the age of 27. A board exam passer and a certified lawyer. I still live at her condo. Hoping she’ll come back and I’m still here for her. I never asked negative questions. Her parents keep quiet, nagresign na rin siya sa FC Herrera Hospital and surely, Jecca is playing safe. Pero alam kong nanjan lang siya. Di siya nawawala kasi nagtatago siya.
I know that she just did what she thinks is right. I never accused her, it’s not her fault. I love her.
Afterwards, I ought to leave the condo for I was assigned in the firm located at Germany. I left a note there and I badly want to come back.
And I had stayed in Germany for 3 years, and all in all, she was gone for 7 years. When I came back in the Philippines, nabalitaan ko na lang na nirenovate yung Condominium na inuupahan ko na naging sakin na simula nung umalis siya. I didn’t budge dahil nandun na eh, ginagawa na. They just gave me money and the things I left inside there. Kahit yung sulat ko, nandun pa din, nilulumot na. Di pa din nabubuksan.
“Oh, this is not mine.” I said as I handed the box to the former landlady.
“Nasa loob po yan ng unit niyo eh. Sigurado po ba kayo?” she asked confused.
