5. Caos and crimes

As soon as I woke up after only sleeping for what felt like minutes, I knew what had happened. I knew Korra's parents got arrested.  She had come to me after it had happened, and left shortly after to find out what she was going to do. I knew I had to find team avatar and tell them. And It could not go fast enough. Something was definitely up.

I asked around and found out they were at Varrick's place, they must not had known what went down that night.

I barged in, probably looking insane.
I couldn't blame them for thinking it. I probably was.

"Naomi? Are you okay, you look-" I interrupted Asami.
"Insane? Tired? Bombarded? That's because I am."

"What, why? What happened?" The worried Bolin asked.
"Last night Korra's parents got arrested." I told them
"WHAT?!" They all yelled in sync.

"Yeah. Varrick planned a kidnapping of Unalaq with some other rebels. Unalaq thinks Tonraq did it but-"  I got interrupted by the door opening.

In the doorway was the police force with Eska and Desna.
I found my eyes rolling to the back of my head.
"Great, what do they want now." I said to my own surprise.
I got a few looks from my friends.

Bolin jumped to his feet, startled
"Ee-yah. I wasn't hiding. Hey, hey-hey, hey."
"I'm not on the hunt for you. Currently." Eska said.

My eyes found their way to roll, yet again.

"We search for Varrick. Our father wishes him to stand trial. He is a traitor to the Water Tribe, along with our aunt and uncle."
I felt the anger boiling.
"That's a lie and you and your pretty little princess of a cousin know that!" I spat. Everyone looked at me. And I felt the familiar feeling from the restaurant coming back.

Luckily a soldier interrupted the awkward conversation.
"Varrick's not here."

"Very well. Desna, let us continue our search elsewhere. Boyfriend! Bow to me when I exit. "
Eska said and looked at Bolin.
Boyfriend? What had I missed?

Bolin bowed low to the floor "Yes, yes, my sweet koala-otter."
Eska smirked.
"You are so cute when you grovel." Eska said as she exited.
Bolin looked up at me with excusable look in his eyes.
I felt my anger turning into sorrow. 

"So, you guys are a thing now?" I asked, trying to control my voice.
He answered in an instant.
"No, I mean yes, I mean no." I put a hand up and interrupted him.
I was about to just walk away, not saying anything, when the voice in my head broke out.

"You are just like your Casanova of a brother. Good to know."
It was my voice but not me. They looked shocked.
"What is going on with you Nao?" He asked, looking hurt.
"Nothing you would really be concerned about, right? You have your oh-so wonderful of a bender princess now."
Again I was left shocked, angry at myself.

Before I could say anything else that would hurt him, I covered my mouth.
"I-I-'m.. I'm sorry." I mumbled behind my hands before walking out.
As I got outside I heard them talking and I didn't have to be clever to know it was about me.

I had to show up at the hearing, I had to know what would happen.
I just didn't want to do anything stupid or reckless.
I took a coat on, so no one could recognize me, and stayed in the shadows.

You think they won't find out?
"Sssh" I whispered to myself.
Stupid girl
That was it. I was definitely going crazy.

Under the whole hearing I had that familiar feeling.
Plus a woman was speaking in my head, and I did not know why she was even there to begin with.
