Chapter 5

It was almost 8 o' clock and Erika and I were adding some finishing touches to our looks. I was wearing a fairly new pair of skinny jeans, my grey TOMS, and a cute halter top. Erika had opted to wear white skinny jeans, black converse, and a long-sleeved, grey, v-neck shirt. We had both curled our hair and my curls bounced with every step. Erika finished before me and was chilling on my bed playing with my iPhone. I finished my makeup just as the doorbell rang throughout the house. Erika and I made eye contact and squealed. I made my way over to where my wallet laid and took a wad of cash out of it shoving it into my back pocket along with my iPhone. Apparently I was moving to slow for Erika and she grabbed my arm running down the stairs with me in tow. I laugh at her and say, "Calm down, Erika! Deep breaths, Hun, deep breaths."

We reached the bottom of the stair case and she composed herself right before I opened the door. Harry and Niall were there and their faces seemed to light up when they saw us. I blushed lightly at the way Harry was looking at me, but Erika on the other hand looked as giddy as ever. We all made our way down the sidewalk to where Harry's mom was waiting in her minivan. It was chilly out, but not cold enough to make me want my hoodie that was in the house. We all piled into the car. Harry and I sat in the back while Niall and Erika sat in the middle. I could feel the butterflies in my stomach start fluttering. My phone buzzed in my back pocket and I pulled it out quickly. It showed a message from Erika.

From ERIKAISYOURHOTTAMALE : Gahh!! You and Harry are so adorbs!!! <3 hehe love ya girly ;) omg Niall smells like some kind of BBQ O.o I'm hungry now >.<

I covered my mouth to stifle my laugh. Harry looked at me curiously and before I could lock my screen he read Erika's message. He smirked at me and laughed at Niall. Niall looked at us like we were crazy. "What's so funny back there?"

I shook my head. I was still laughing to much to talk. I texted Erika back quickly as my cheeks flushed red realizing that Harry had to have read the first part of her message.

From LEXILUFFSCOOKIES: Erika I'm going to shave off your eyebrows!!! Harry read your message!!! O.o he probably thinks I'm kinda weird now :( I know bebz I can smell him to xD me nd you can ditch the guys and get some cotton candy ;D

We were having our own convo on our phones'. Wondering what the guys were doing, I glanced over at Harry to see him typing away on his phone. He set in down on his lap before his screen lit up. I read it quickly.

From NIALL: thanks for settin this up mate. I'm askin Erika tonight on the ferris wheel. Why're the girls laughing at me?

Harry replied 'they say you smell like BBQ. Told you they'd notice :p'. I laughed quietly as to not draw attention to myself. I was so happy for Erika. Niall was finally going to ask her out and she was going to totally flip out. I had almost forgoten that she had replied to my text. I pulled up our convo and skimmed over her reply.

From ERIKAISYOURHOTTAMALE: NOT THE EYEBROWS!!!!! D: hehe Harreeeeh doesn't think your weird :) you're just being paranoid love. Live without paranoia!!! Mwahaha I luffffff cotton candy and I LUFFF YOUUUUU!!!!

I burst out laughing and quickly slapped my hands over my mouth with wide eyes. Everyone was staring at me with their eyebrows quirked. Even Harry's mom was glancing from the road to me in the rearview mirror. My face turned tomatoe red and I hid in my hands. Niall burst out laughing, but Erika, being the most awesome friend ever, distracted everyone. "You know unicorns are really just albino rhinos?! Oh my god that rhymes!!!!! Albino rhinos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She sang out the last part.

The guys turned their attention from me to Erika. "What the hell? What are you on?" Harry questioned.

I felt a wave of relief as they stopped paying attention to me and my face turned back to its normal color. Erika giggled, "I'm on rainbows!"
