Chapter 22

I finally met Bang Si Hyuk, the CEO and founder of Big Hit Entertainment. Not that I met him personally but he gathered all the staff for a meeting. He looked and spoke like a teddy bear. Parts of me wanted to go and pinch the cheek of this man but I restrained from doing so.

"Pssttt" I heard somebody call me from the back.

I turned around to find Lisa and Jennie.

"What are you doing here??" I whispered-yelled at them.

"You would never agree to invite us so we asked Jisoo" Lisa said.

"I wanted to personally invite BTS." Jennie said.

"Oh! You mean Namjoon oppa" I said in a tone filled with sarcasm "And who do you want to personal welcome?"

"Hehe" Lisa giggle coyly "His name starts with J"

"Ughh! You girls" I rolled my eyes "Whatever you do, please do not bring down my reputation"

"Shhh. Bang Si Hyuk is about to speak" Jennie said eagerly "I've heard a lot about him"

Since when was she so interested in Big Hit Ent.

"Hello everyone" he formally bowed to all of us "I am Bang Si Hyuk. Nice to meet you all. As you know, BTS is returning from Japan roughly around 4 pm. They had a successful event at Japan. To reward my boys, I want to organise a party or celebration for my boys. But, this won't be successful with the help of each one of you. So, will you all please help me?"

"Yes!" we all said willingly. Especially Jennie and Lisa who were literally yelling "Yess!! Bang Si Hyuk nim"

"Great so here's the plan" Excitement was all over his face.

It was past four and the boys weren't here yet. We occupied the indoor basketball court at Big Hit building.  We decorated the entire court with streamers, banners and multi-coloured balloons. A big banner read "We are proud of you!!". This didn't seem like a company or label to me it seemed like a family.

They were all sort of food and snacks on the table. They knew that the boy will be more touched with food than the décor. The other table had soft drinks and hard drinks. The hard drink was neither for the boys nor for the employees who were below 25 years of age. How disappointing!! Just 3 years of difference.

(A/N- I know that she is 20 years old but let's please pretend the she is 22 for the sake of the story)

"They're coming. They're coming." A male staff ran inside the court turned hall.

We switch off the lights and everybody hid behind the tables and chairs including the CEO. He hid behind the pillar with the cake. I wasn't excited or anything while preparing

"Woahh!!!" Hoeseok oppa yelled "What's this??"

"Surprise!!!!!" We greeted them. The balloons burst showering them with confetti. They were all surprised. Their faces clearly made it evident that they were oblivious about this. Every time I'd see BTS, I for search for Kim Taehyung this time my eyes fell on Jeon Jungkook. He was tired but very touched by us. He eyes scanned towards everyone in the hall like he was searching for some one. When his eyes finally met mine, he smiled slowly raising his hand. I blushed a bit but waved at him.

"Congratulations ~" the CEO brought the cake forward with seven lit candles "I'm so proud of you. Wishing you many more success."

"Thank you PD-nim" they all said in unison.

"Let the party begin. For your information, only those above 25 years are permitted to have alcohol. Also, Homme sunbae-nims will be here shortly. Don't forget to greet them." the CEO warned the boys "I'll have my eyes on you"

"Ahhh! This is not fair. Just by a year" Jin Hyung whined like a baby.

"I purposely made the restriction above 25 because I don't want any of you to get drunk. You have a press conference to attend tomorrow morning. Stay sober." He warned the boys before he left.

Namjoon oppa immediately ran away from the scene to meet Jeanie. I cringed at those love birds.

"Where is Jisoo?' I asked Lisa.

"I don't know. She disappeared after sneaking us into the building" Lisa shrugged.

I scanned around for her. I realised Taehyung had also disappeared from the group. He must be with Jisoo. I smiled genuinely. I felt happy deep inside. They deserved each other. Jisoo is a great person and so is Taehyung. They would make a perfect match.

"I'm going to the washroom" I said to her "Wait for me"

"Mmm. Come fast okay" she said.

On my way back from the washroom, I spotted Lisa and Jungkook in a deep conversation. She blushed at every sentence he spoke. I was happy for them but deep inside I felt a bit hurt. She is my best friend and he is... After, I realised that Taehyung was in love with Jisoo it didn't feel good. So, I put all my feeling on a person who annoyed me and slowly got a bit of feeling for that person. That person was Jungkook.

I walked back to the washroom. Let's give them more time.

"Is that you?" I heard a familiar voice from the back.

I turned around. My heart beat faster at the sight of him.  It was him. The man who severely broke my heart. Nothing compared to the minor heartbreaks for the past weeks.  My first love and my ex-husband. He looked at me astonished. My head was starting to get dizzy. Not now, please!

"You...." My eyes shut down no matter how hard I tried to stay alert. I felt him catch me.

"...asshole" I whisperd.
