Everything was fine after that between the men. Rosie was very glad to see that they had gotten along again. John just wasn't the same at work, though. After weeks of observations of John's behaviours and cues, Sherlock deduced that "John's being... jealous?" Ms Adler asked, crossing her arms. "I'm afraid so. So, if you wouldn't mind." Sherlock said as he tried to move past her to get to his messy desk. She stood there looking smug. "You know why I'm here, Sherlock." She stated, sitting upon Sherlock's working desk as he was in the middle of looking in the microscope. "I sure hope that isn't the AIDS ravished blood sample you've set yourself on. What with you wearing very limited clothing and all." Sherlock stared as he got up to put something in the space behind his chair. She sat up and looked behind her.

"Sherlock." John entered the room as he heard Irene say his name. He looked up at John before following the short man's enraged glare to behind him, where Ms Adler stood draping the shoulders of her already shortened dress on her hips, her pale skin exposed her chest, belly, and womanly flower to the two men. Ms Adler just looked to john as she held a piece of white paper in between her teeth.

"What the hell was that, Sherlock?" John asked as they were in a nearby Café, taking their lunch break. "She has a case for me and she has an incentive I May have an interest in earning. I can show Mycroft up in his own job, John!" Sherlock shouted eagerly. John huffed a sigh of irritation. "So? How are you going to solve your case?" John asked, still not ready to confront this woman who seemed to be flirting with his neurotic boyfriend. Sherlock smirked. "This," he pulled out the piece of white paper that Irene had in her mouth when John caught her with Sherlock. John smacked it out of Sherlock's hand quickly. "Ew. Don't touch it! You don't know where that's been," John groaned as he grabbed a napkin and began sweeping it toward the edge of the table. That is before Sherlock picked it up again and unfolded it.

"We'll go, get the case, I'll deduce her, and that'll be the last of it," Sherlock said, showing John the address written on the paper. John grunted out of frustration. "Ugh, fine! I guess we'll take it," He folded his arms in defeat and Sherlock giggled at how cute looked, then he quickly pulled a hand over his mouth. His eyes widened and his face flushed from slight embarrassment. They both sat there until John cracked up laughing and Sherlock pouted.

After they got back to the Precinct, John talked to Greg, who said, "Who's Irene? She doesn't work here," John ran out to Sherlock's office and pulled him out of the building. "She's not a VICE girl? Exciting," Was all he had to say. He had a childish smile on his face. "Tell Gavin we're going to take a case," Sherlock said while opening a lollipop to replace the need for cigarettes. "I swear If you're making me do all of this running, just to get a look at my arse..." John started as he jogged off into the building they had just entered to let Lestrade know they would be out on a case. John got a lot of dirty looks, of course, but Lestrade understood.

"Hey, uh. Text me. If you ever need to talk about Sherlock or something. I mean, I know him pretty good, so." He tried before John excused himself and jogged back outside to find Sherlock sitting on the hood of John's car, waiting. He took off his black trench coat as it was pretty warm, revealing a purple collar up shirt that was growing a bit too tight for John's favour, in public that is. When Sherlock saw John, he put his phone away and took the lollipop out of his mouth to tell John to sit next to him as he patted the hood of the car with his ungloved hand.

"I thought we're on a case," John said as Sherlock leaned up against John's shoulder. "Oh, we are." Sherlock said, "I have approximately three minutes before my body goes into case mode, in which case I don't sleep, don't eat, and am worse with dealing with people than usual. So, things like this with someone is greatly appreciated." Sherlock said, peacefully closing his eyes. Sherlock slowly grabbed John's hand and held it close to his chest. Three minutes passed sooner than any of them would've liked.
