Dead Days

I woke up and all I hear was a loud ring and moans. I looked around but I didn't see anyone, until I saw a figure approach from the corner. "Bella" a weak voice spoke. "Nathan"? I looked and saw Nathan in the corner looking tired and skinny.

He got up and he helped me get up. I felt my head and felt a large gash and dried blood. But how can it be dried. "How long have I've been out for"? I asked Nathan. " About 3 1/2 weeks" he said. My eyes widened when I heard him say that.

"Where is Devin and Hailey"? I asked. " They left with all of our supplies or at least I suppose, when I woke up they were gone" Nathan said. I just stared at him and noticed a large blood stain on his side. He saw me looking at his large blood stain and then lifted up his shirt and showed me the mark.

It had to be at least 8 inches long. I looked around the trailer and found a t-shirt in a small shelf. Nathan picked up his shirt and I tied the t-shirt around his side. "We need to get more supplies, we don't have any food, water, or weapons" he said. "Well I have my two knives and a water canteen. I grabbed one of my knives and gave it to Nathan.

"When was the last time you had water" I asked Nathan. "I can't even remember" he said. I handed him the canteen but he only took two gulps. "We should save the rest well at least when your done" Nathan said.

I took two gulps then we started to grab as much supplies that we can. I found 3 energy bars, a box of matches, and rope. Nathan found two bags of jerky, batteries, and a flashlight. " Nathan look" I said with excitement as I pointed to our backpacks. We both ran to them and opened them up. But they were empty.

We took the bags and put our stuff in them. "Ready"? I asked Nathan. "Hell yeah" he said. We walked out side prepared for anything but when we looked we didn't see a single zombie, they all were dead. "Let's go" I said. We started to look around but we saw nothing. I looked for Nathan but I couldn't see him. "Bella" I heard a voice say.

It was Nathan he was on top of the trailer and I climbed up with him. "Look". I saw something unbelievable, it was the military. There was a barricade all around town. I saw a couple run up to the soldiers and started to talk to them. The couple started to cry and plead but then the soldiers shot them without any hesitation.

When I looked closer I started to cry as I saw that the couple was Hailey and Devin. Nathan's jaw dropped and he wiped his eyes. "We...we have to...to go" Nathan said. "O...ok". I said.

We started to climb down the trailer but then something grabbed Nathan's leg. "Shit" Nathan but that was his mistake. The soldiers heard Nathan scream and started to fire at us. "Fuck" I yelled "hurry let's go". But then someone grabbed mine and Nathan's arm and pulled us into a building.

"Who the fuck are you" Nathan said aggressively. She pulled down the bandana from here mouth. "Well that was a rude, and your welcome." she said. "I'm Bella and that's Nathan" i said. "Makenzie". "What"? I said. "My name, it's Makenzie" she said.

"Oh well thanks for saving our asses". I said. "What is up with the military" I asked. Her eyes widened. "Where the fuck have you guys been, it has been like this for 2 months". She said. "We're serious don't fuck with us" Nathan said. "I'm serious, where have you guys been? Makenzie asked. " Holy shit Nathan, we've been unconscious for 2 months" I said. "Oh my god" Nathan said.

" Wait you guys been out that long"? She asked. "Well I guess so, we were driving away from a hoard and our truck flipped as well as our trailer and that is when we were unconscious" I said. " Damn you guys are lucky to be alive" Makenzie said.
