Chapter 1
The Dream
In the year 1999. There was a boy who was born in a dark alley way, and his name was Jonny. But Jonny wasn't an ordinary boy. Soon he would become more than he ever thought. One day, when Jonny was five, he had these weird visions that something was coming. Yes, he was scared. But he didn't want anyone to find out about the visions. He thought that if they found out they would throw him in an insane asylum.
Jonny kept going on with his life without letting anyone know that something was wrong. He enjoyed his life and wanted to keep enjoying it in his nice home at the adoption center. This place was a place that no kid liked being at. But somehow, in some way, Jonny really liked it. He felt as if he belonged there and shall remain there. That night while Jonny and the others were having dinner, a girl spoke of something that he couldn't understand.
"Something happened!" The woman shouted in a room next to the kitchen.
"Calm down, what's going on?" Veronica said. Veronica was the woman who watched Jonny and took care of him while she had the chance. She truly felt as if Jonny was her own child. He would always come to her in the night to ask if he could tell her something. All he would tell her is that he had a terrible dream. But he knows that it wasn't even close to a dream, it was supposed to happen.
Then the woman repeated, "We need to talk, something happened outside!" "Ok Mrs. Enfield, lets go." Veronica said softly, not sure if she should be worried of what she might find. Then, the two walked out and Jonny went to his room. He couldn't imagine what could have happened. "Was this one of my visions?" He thought to himself. But nothing came to mind of her running in and talking about something happening. Mainly his visions were about a creature, a nasty creature that eats peoples flesh and then hangs their bodies in an old oak tree where Jonny used to hang out.
Suddenly, Jonny started panicking but he didn't know why. Then, nothing. Just pitch black. When he awoke the next morning he was cold, and he realized that he didn't remember anything. He couldn't remember his name, where he was, or who used to look after him. A man then just visited him and told him, "Things are going to get tuff. But you have to bare through it. You're our only hope."
After a minute to process this information, Jonny sees the man walking toward a door in the middle of no where. He then, as quickly as his feet could carry him, ran after the man. The man turned around and smiled. Jonny noticed that the man was wearing sunglasses, a black suit, and a oddly shaped cowboy hat. This confused him till the man said his name, "Micheal," but in Jonny's eyes, the mans lips didn't move.
Jonny froze, he couldn't move. He had hear that name in his visions before, but he never took it into account until now. The man smiled and all went black for Jonny. Jonny felt cold, and weary. He didn't want to wake up because he was afraid of what he might find. And he was right to think that. Jonny then heard a door creak open and Veronica whispered to him, "Are you ok, Jonny? I heard you scream and when i rushed n here you were dead asleep. I honestly thought that Mrs. Enfield's crazy story was real." Jonny then replied in a sleepy voice. "Yeah im okay."
Veronica then sighs with relief. Then she closes the door and sits by him. She says, "Want me to tell you something?" Jonny smiles at her with delight. "Sure!" Veronica then whispers in his ear, "Micheal is real." Then Veronica slowly leaves the room and does not return. Jonny was shocked, he thought it was all just a dream that his mind had come up with. But no, it was way more than just a dream. It was his calling.
