She makes a little chuckle and she is still wiping the tears, "Sorry, I did not mean to make the day so heavy."
"No, it's not. I'm glad you can trust me. I know what you went through, my dad died two years ago also. I understand about the dreams because I have them too. I just wish they were real conversations."
"They are, that's how I see it. In my dreams I feel like she is actually talking to me in them. Everyday I wait for the nights so I can see her and talk to her."
I look at her with amazement, "I do too."
"Until...I met you, now I can talk to you about anything. You've helped me get by and actually have fun. Thank you Riley."
I moved closer to her, "I feel the same way. You've helped me see how much I've been missing."
She smiles at me and tears were streaming down her cheeks. I put my hand on her cheek, wiping her tears away. My Heart was pounding, and telling me to kiss her. I wanted to do it so bad, but my brain was telling me I'm here on a mission not to fall in love.
"I think we should check if the Chinese food is here." she gives me a small laugh.
I laugh too, we both climbed out of the pool. We dried off and walked into the house and went into the kitchen.
"Well he should be here in twenty minutes." She said as she was drying her hair.
"Good, because I'm starving from swimming." I said jokingly while rubbing my stomach playfully at her.
"What swimming?" She said with laughter, "We hardly swam, all we did was jump in. "
When she was laughing, I just could not look away, with her big smile and sparkling blue eyes looking back at me, she was just so irresistible. Everything she does is so beautiful.
Her lips slowly came down and had a curious look on her expression, "What is it Riley?"
She said waking me up from my trance looking at her and I cleared my throat, "What?" I asked still in a daze.
"You were staring at me, is there a problem?" She asked in a nervous chuckle.
"No, just you're so beautiful."
She bit her lip nervously and looked down with a little smile and with red cheeks, which is so adorable. When she does things like this it's makes me want to reach over and kiss her, but I know I have to do my job and not be falling for her.
I cleared my throat, "And plus I'm tired for throwing you in the pool." I said sarcastically.
She busted out laughing and pushed my shoulder in a playful way, "Riley your hilarious"
The door bell ringed, "Oh that must be the Chinese food delivery." She said with enthusiasm.
She walks over to the front door, I follow her to make sure it is the delivery guy and it was. She pays him and I help her carry the food into the living room.
"What would you like to watch?" She ask when she sets some of the food on the coffee table.
"Anything is fine." I said nonchalant.
She walks over to the entertainment center picks out a movie and pops it in the DVD player.
After we were done eating I told her I should get home. I walked out and we said our goodbyes.
I got home, walked upstairs and laid in my bed. I couldn't stop thinking about her, I need to get her out of mind, I need to stop this and not get involve with her.
All I did today and the next day was lay in my bed.
My phone went off and it was a text message of Charlie.
Can you come down, now?
I did not want to get up. I just could not stop thinking about her. I need to get her out of my mind, so I can at least get through this mission easily. I finally got out of bed, it took me five minutes to do it. I put on my black jeans and my plain dark green shirt, I put on my black converse and hopped in my car and drove to the FBI station.
I walked in and showed the security guy my ID, he let me in and I knocked on Charlie's door, he was on the phone and motioned me to come in.
He hung up the phone. "Hey Riley, so I was just checking up. Do you have anything interesting?"
Yeah I do. I scanned this when I was in the basement."
I pressed the button on my watch and a hologram of the blue print and the poisons blueberries.
Wow...Great job Riley. This is some good stuff. Let's head to the science room. "He says as he gets up from his chair.
We walk out of the room and head to the science room.
After that I went back to my house and did the same thing like always. I just looked up at my ceiling and my brain went to same spot. Then there was a knock on my door and I mumbled for the person to come in.
My mom came in, "Hey sweetie, what's wrong? You have been positioned like this all weekend."
I sat up in my bed and she came over and sat down beside me.
I'm just tired." I lied.
Her eyebrows went up, "Really? I know it's more than that."
took a breath, "I have this mission to get to know this girl and I think I...might be falling for her."
"Oh that's tough, if you really like her, then forget the mission."
"What! I can't do that. I could never let down my agents."
She put her hands up, "Sorry, it was just a suggestion."
"Did you and...Dad go through this?"
She looked down like she was sad and did not want to be reminded, "No. We met in court when he had his prosecutor."
"Oh." I paused, " I can't let Charlie down or dad, I have to do this mission."
"You will make the right choice. You always have and your father would be very proud of what choice you make." She said soothingly.
I looked down and she grabbed my chin to make eye contact with me, "You are just like him, he never wanted to give up on a mission, he always wanted to finish it and he was so passionate about being a spy just like how you are. " She said as she got up and kissed my forehead.
"Thanks Mom and I'll try to figure it out."
She turned around to face me when she got to doorway and gave me a smile, "I know you will, your very smart." She turned around and closed the door behind her.
The right choice, how do I know what is the right choice when I can not even decide on what to do.
