            Preface

      They were everywhere. Moving fast and slow. I was terrified, what were these sloppy,hideous creatures ? I glanced over to my best friend,Laney. She mirrored my own terrified expression.

                 Chapter 1 The memory

             When it happened 3 months ago i was with Ryan my boyfriend and my best friend Laney. Ryan was slightly taller than me and every time he looked at me i would see his beautiful green eyes that would remind me of freshly cut grass in spring, and his hair was brown that reminded me of brown bark on a tree. I loved the sound of his voice it was rough and husky. He had the most amazing lips that were totally kissable.

        We were all at lunch talking about going to the movies all together. We all decided on a movie called The secret. It came on that night at 7:00. After lunch we made are way out of the cafeteria. Then i headed toward my locker and grabbed my stuff and hurried off to my next class.

        I picked a seat in the back like usual. Josh came over and sat in the seat beside me. Great i mumbled to myself.

                "Hey sof." he said softly so the teacher wouldn't notice. I didn't answer him. He looked at me for a minute then turned his attention back to the teacher. Josh was my height.Ill admit he. was hot but he was one of the popular people so he was probably a jerk. He had the most amazing crystal,clear blue eyes that glinted in the light. I barely pad attention i was staring at Josh. I saw some people fall asleep. Josh caught me staring at him and we made brief eye contact. I glanced away from him realizing people were starting to get up and class was over.

             I wondered to my next class.Barely paying attention in that class too. The day drifted by like this.

      Finally it was almost 7:00.

Ryan picked me up at 6:30,then we headed to go pick up Laney and her boyfriend Nathan.Then we were on our way to the movies.

             "so... Sofia" Ryan said

               "yeah?"  I asked curiously

                "I need to talk to you later" he said quietly

                  "Okay" I replied

     The movie was good. I kept zoning out though. I remember i kept wondering what Ryan was needing to tell me. The movie went off and i missed most of it. i got my stuff together and made my way to Ryan's car.

      Ryan pulled me to the side. Get ready Sofia. I said in my head. Ryan gave me a long kiss and wrapped his arms around me tightly.

            "Sofia,I love you i want you to know that." My heat melted to those words.

            "I love you too,Ryan"

Ryan had a sad look in his green eyes.      

            "What's wrong Ryan?" i asked concerned.

             "Well i have to move"he said slowly.

               "What" i asked.

               "I know. I'm gonna miss you so much Sofia." he said with sad watery eyes.

                 "I'm gonna miss you too."i said with tears welling up in my eyes.
