Chapter 1: Life before Magcon

"Arianna?" My brother,Josh, said walking into my room.

"Yes?" I said impatiently.

"You haven't met the new neighbors and they've been living here for 3 weeks already." He said raising an eyebrow.

"Fine. I'll go meet them." I huffed. Josh held the door open for me and I ran downstairs.

"Hey!" I said as I noticed a boy around my age standing there.

"Oh, hi! I'm Nash." He said smiling at me.

"Hi, Nash. I'm Arianna." I said returning his smile.

"I have 2 brothers and a half sister, but Will doesn't live with us and we only get to see him a few times a year, Hayes is at summer camp for the whole summer, and Skylynn is not really the type to meet new people." He said.

"Oh, well I see you've already met Josh, my older brother. He's my only sibling. We live alone so our parents aren't around to tell us what to do." I said with a smile.

"Cool, want to go get a coffee or something?" He asked with a genuine smile.

"Sure!" I replied happily, following the cute boy out to his car.
