LightWitch : The Kalean Desert (Book I)

Prologue

          Before everything, before anything had happened, it was light. And light ruled the world it created. But its reign did not last for long, as darkness follows light everywhere, and where there is light, there must be a shadow. The nights came, and the beasts came with it. 

        The forever lasting peace of the light was broken, and that was the first crime. The second crime was the fire. The fire with thick black smoke that covered the light. Humans we're at fault, but they did not realise, and they still do not. 

         The third crime we're the forests, cut down forests, which we're used for villages and towns. When this came around, light went crazy, and split itself in two. One half went down to the human world, and started living disguised as one of their own. The other one seeked vengeance, and hid himself in the dephts of the earth, inside the darkest of pits, to gather his powers and plan his revenge on the pitiful humans, humans that did not understand his sorrow. But its not over... It will never be over. The first half eventually had kids with the humans, giving birth to powerful wizards and witches. But the other half still is waiting, patiently, for the moment the forth crime is made.

       "When the big Ergon Mountains, fire shall spit.  And the humans actions will stop it from flowing at will, the earth shall take revenge, with my help at will." These words echoed in Tana's mind. She was thinking about how crazy it would be if this story was real. Of course, the books from her grandmother's attic we're all sorts of crazy. She even keeps books on how to wash socks, or how to identify mythical creatures that don't exist. 

        -Tana! Dinner's ready!

        "Oh here we go again. The food granny makes tastes like nothing. God damn vegetables"

        Tana rememered the page, 112, and closed the fairy tale book. She ran down the hallway and into the kitchen, where the smell of boiled tomatoes turned her stomach.
