Ch. 11: Flashbacks pt. 2/Erica's Party

The day before Erica's Party...

I walk to class and nobody is there. I head for the bathroom to get a tissue. When I walk in there is someone in a stall taking their time, for a long time. I just get a tissue and walk out the door, but before I can walk out, someone says my name. "Noah." I look over my shoulder and Jaden is standing there, smiling that creepy smile. "Noah," he says again.

"What the heck you want?" I ask him, I'm really looking for an answer since he bullied me.

"It's nothing, really. I just want you to do me a favor." He's smiling that creepy smile again.

"What. Just tell me. Will you stop bullying me if I do this?" I was so full of questions, I thought I was gonna have a brain explosion.

"Oh, Noah. That's not even considered bullying. What I've done over the past year or two was not even close. I want you to embarrass yourself at Erica's party. Do whatever you need to. Just do it. You will get a reward." He just left before I could ask him anything.

Ok I got my suit and ride, I think to myself. I'm pretty sure my sis will let me ride, or else I could carpool with Eric's sister too. I'm so ready, too ready. Way too ready. What was I thinking? A suit? Really? No. I throw on some other clothes. They're pretty nice, so they work perfectly.

I ride my bike over to Eric's house and see if he's home. I knock on his door and, thankfully, he answers.

"Ok listen, Jaden wanted me to do him a favor and go to Erica's party. Then, I have to embarrass myself. He said nor bullying for the rest of the year and I'm not making that up." I just blurt it all out at once.

"Whoa, slow down. I didn't need the whole explanation. Are you just saying you need a ride?"

"Yeah, basically." He goes to tell his sister and he said we're leaving at 8:30.

Flashbacks pt. 2

One year ago...

I walk into the school and instantly regret coming. I wish I'd faked sick or something. All of my bullys (Erica, Jaden, Jake) and some other people are standing by the door to get in the school. It's like their waiting for me to come to them. I just walk up and try to get past them, but Jake grabs hold of my shirt.

"Tried to get past us huh? Well not gonna happen." He pushes me as hard as he can to the ground. "We've been playing too long, don't ya think?" Jaden and Erica nod their heads but don't say anything. Soon Jake kicks me in the thigh and walks backward a few steps. Jaden walks up to me now, hands balled into fists. He kneeled down to me and punched me in the face. It now burned where the impact was. He punched me again on the other side of the face.

"Boy, you've been playing with us too long." And with that he steps on my stomach. I get up and hunch over. I retch and cough until my breakfast is gone. Then they let me go. You can probably tell everyone is laughing and they have disgusted looks on their faces.
