chapter 1* A new day

Dear diary,
I miss him now more than ever. Today is the day I get to see who I will be sharing a ton with. However I would much rather be going to see my brother.
I heard my door open so I dropped my diary as I seen case walk in. Case was my best friend and worst enemy.
We're kinda like frenemies. Anyways, he said come one ava were gonna be late aren't you ready to find out who your roommate is? I said not really cade....
He said what's wrong? I said I miss my brother alot. Case came over there and wrapped his arms around me and said things will get better and you will see him again one day.
I smiled because I knew case was right. He said now come on were gonna be late.
As I stepped into the room i realized just how packed it was. There were faries,vampires,and everything everywhere. I immediately took my place on the vampire side and case took his on the fairy side. Oh wait I forgot to mention case is a fairy.
They finally reached the vampire side. When they called my name i walked on stage then she called out the name cole Martinez. Then a handsome young boy stepped up. I a bok his hand and while still holding my hand we walked off stage.
When we got back to my dorm. He said it's a pleasure to meet you. I said it's a pleasure to meet you too. He shook my hand. Then he rubbed his hand across my cheek where my marks were. I felt shivers run through my body and done my spine.
He said your marks they aren't like mine. I said well see I don't even know how I became marked and I didn't even know I was until I showed up here so we're still trying to figure out why their different.
He smiled and for some reason his smile made my heart feel all fluttery and stuff. Then he said their beautiful just like your eyes. I thought to myself man this is gonna be one interesting school year.
