Falling

A deep dark ditch,

So cold, so black.

A lover comes along,

Put my heart and soul,

Before my eyes, gone.

The brief brightness,

Controlling my sight to reality,

I am left to nothing.

The deep dark ditch,

I'm falling.

My abandonment won't leave me.

My tears are all the hopes and dreams,

Rushing down a mountain,

Disintegrating.

Crushed by the immaturity of the man,

To the wellness of a woman,

Who is falling.
