I heard my footsteps squish in the moss covered ground. The pattern of the soft rain slowly picking up speed. The pitter patters of the rain calmed my rushing heart. I let the rain fall on my jacketless shoulders enjoying every drop. I ducked under the vines into the small tunnel and let my back rest against the curved wall. I could feel the roughness of the cement wall covered in vines and graffiti. 'where is he' i thought to myself doubt nipping at the back of my mind. I stared at the gang signs and symbols representing love hate and scorn. I took in the beauty of it all letting out a deep breath and feeling the cold fog roll off my tongue and filling the cold air. I stare out of the tunnel letting my shoulder rest on the wall. As i stare into nothing i feel a pair of warm arms wrap around my waist embracing me full of love and needing. I let a small grin touch my cold lips. I felt his chin rest on my shoulder i turn my head to meet his crysta ice blue eyes. He leaned in with no timid or shyness and let his soft lips gently touch mine filling me with warmth and comfort. I let my hand run up his back and through his soft blonde hair. We pulled away softly. I stare into those icy eyes of his shining more like poisoned stones than living tissue. He has been through so much pain and sorrow that i didn't want to let go of this one moment i have with him. I studied his face, his dirty blonde hair so soft his smile so welcoming and loving. His cascading waterfall eyes. I love every single thing about him the way he walks the way he talks all his perfect imperfections make him my soul mate for me and me alone. I break away from the stare and look out to the clouds so dark it looked like demons flew overhead. It was as cold as the world's heart. But I had his heart to warm me so i couldn't feel the pain and scorn of the world anymore. He was there for me when i needed him the most and when i just needed a hug even when i didn't need him he was there for me. Even when my souls freezing and hells high for a reason he's there to walk the sorrow with me. I let my shoulders relax under his strong comforting arms. We sat there for a while me and him taking in the small of the fresh rain and thunderous skies not saying a single word just enjoying the quiet that's so hard to find in this world we live in. I leaned against him letting my head rest on his shoulder and smiled as the warmth consumed me. My eyes got droopy and the last thing i saw before i fell asleep was his sparkling blue eyes and his bright smile. I wake up in his pickup truck with a felt blanket around me supplying warmth to my body and my head resting on his lap. ¨Mourning beautiful¨ he said with a grin touching his lips. ¨Where are we¨ i asked sleep still stuck in my scratchy throat. ¨somewhere special¨ He said as he stopped the truck and got out running around to open my door. I stepped outside into the cool night air the streetlight flashed memories of when i first met him. I saw the sandy beach where we shared our first kiss the ocean where watched the cascading waves fall on top of each other gracefully. I turned towards him with a glimmer in my eye. I watched him get down on one knee and purpose. I let that three letter word roll past my lips and smiled. He had asked me to marry him. He's my prince charming he's the smoke to my high my player two in this crazy game of life.
