What is your username?

A. itsmorphine

When did you join Wattpad? And for how long have you been writing (in general)?

A. In my profile, it says I joined on March 30, 2013 but I've only used my account December last year. I've been writing for mostly my pre-teens upto now. Mostly it's just random scribbles on my notebook or whenever an idea hits me. I've never thought of writing in Wattpad until I met someone online who decided to co-author a story but well, the project failed. At least, it gave me the incentive to start writing online.

What can you tell us about the current story you’re working on? Tell us a little about the plot and the characters in it?

A. I am working on my story, Tainted Soul. It's of paranormal genre with only a hint of romance. I can't give away my plot right now since it is still in the making so I'm going to talk about my characters. I made my characters with lots of flaws -- bitchy, annoying, emotional etc. The reason for this is that I've read so much stories here on Wattpad depicting their characters as this flawless, godly beings and I thought to myself, 'no. I'm not doing that.' And thus, Tainted Soul was born. Plus I am a total Cassandra Clare and Lauren Kate fanatic.

Why do you think the readers should read your story (mention the factors which will be appealing to the readers)?

A. Hm, I'm not sure about this. But for one, my story is written in first person, present tense which is not very traditional way of writing. Mostly, writers use either first person past tense or deep third person. But the style I used (I wanted to experiment) is rarely seen on here so I would very much like a feedback from people.

Which is your favorite character, in the current story you are working on?

A. My heroine, Cassandra Bane. I totally can relate to her (except for the part where her family dies in a plane crash, of course). What made me create Cassie was getting that certain part of me and putting it on paper, or in this case, screen. It's just that Cassie is so mature at times but most often, she's just a whining brat like most of us in our teenage years. But setting that fact aside, I can see her as a probable character in a coming-of-the-age type of story since dealing with deaths are rather harsh and I'd like to see how I can let my character handle it.

How many stories have you posted on Wattpad (excluding short stories)?

A. I have one. Namely, Tainted Soul (even though it's filed under "Short Story", I still consider it as a normal-length paced one). The other though, which is a very short story, Concrete Angel. It's about child abuse and the likes. Also, it is written in a peculiar style.

Can you tell us about your other stories, any two other stories that you are working on?

A. Like I said, I have another story titled, Concrete Angel. It tackles the dark sides of human beings and a very sensitive issue which is child abuse and violence to women. Some said that what I wrote was "sick" because the dialogues and portrayals were so realistic that they find it hard to grasp that issues like that do happen in real life. But overall, it got quite good ratings from others so who am I to complain?

Do you offer critiques to other users? If you have offered a critique, mention that story?

A. I've critiqued quite a lot of stories (and descriptions) too in my days in the "Improve Your Writing Club". I've forgotten the titles so forgive me if I don't mention any.

Do you write for yourself or for the readers?

A. Both. I believe that one cannot fully write for themselves or for others. You write for yourself but another part of you wants to write to show your readers the worlds that only exists in your mind and you have this urge to share it with them. Love it or hate it. You write a story like you create a painting. You don't make it overly perfect to impress people -- you write it so that you and the readers/viewers will feel something from it. To get a reaction, to stir something in them using only your written words.

Describe yourself in ten words.

A. I wrote words about fantasy and became my own stories.(I have a flair for poetry, no judgements c:)
