They started to walk to the main hole. "So, Lucy, what do you have interests in?" Bilbo asked.
"Well, I really love stories, writing, and reading in general," Said Lucy, "I also like the history of Middle Earth. I guess you could say that I really love literature and history. I also love music and art. I'm better at music than art though. I love mysteries and adventures....."
"You love adventures too? I thought I was the only one. My family has been saying that I should just stay in the Shire and live a peaceful life, but even though I do want that, I really want to know what beyond the Shire's borders." Said Bilbo cutting in Lucy's sentence. "Oh,I'm sorry," he said, realizing his mistake, "You we're talking."
"It's alright, but as I was saying, yes, I love adventures. Like you said, I would really want to explore outside the Shire. I soon want to go to Rivendell, where the Elves live," said Lucy, "But that's all I really like. Oh! I also love to study runes. I know how to read runes of any sort. Ok, that's not true, but still. I can read some runes. My father teaches me."
"Really?! Wow! I never met hobbit who likes all of these things. You're very interesting as your name is," joked Bilbo.
"Ha ha ha, very funny." Lucy said sarcastically. It was just the end of that sentence when they reached the main hole to change their schedule. When they entered, it was like a log cabin at Christmas all into one hole.
"Wow," they both gasped at the same time.
"Hello. May I help you two with anything?" Asked a female hobbit.
"Yes, actually. We want to put two bands into our schedule. The main Hobbiton band and the Folk band," she said to the female hobbit. Then she turn around and said (while the female hobbit went to change their schedules for them), "The main Hobbiton band preforms for all of Hobbiton and sometimes people from Bree would come just to see the band. The Folk band is more of a comforting type a style of music."
(Quick A/N; Actually, the main Hobbiton band is like a marching band and the Folk one is like a jazz band. I was just going off my real schedule for band. The fiddle is actually the alto sax, my instrument, in real life, but in the story it's a fiddle for some reason, and the one that Lucy is playing will be explained later. Sorry, I'll let you guys get back to the story.)
"You know, you never told me what you play as an instrument," Said Bilbo.
"Well, I play the clarinet. It can be in the Folk style of music. I mean, it's not common, but it can be used." Said Lucy. "Don't judge. I really love music. I can never get tired of it. Sometimes I can, but that's very rare."
"I'm not judging. I actually find it quite fascinating. I also play musical crackers, but not as great as the fiddle." Bilbo said with a smile. Then he stopped and looked at Lucy with hope. He was surprised that he actually made a friend. Then he said, "Okay, I'm going to be honest with you. You are the first person that I feel that would get along with me well."
"Me too. I just moved here, and I never really met anyone yet. Well Bilbo, lucky for you, I feel the same way," said Lucy. "Wait, you never told me anything about you yet. So, what do you interest, besides music and adventures?"
"Well, beside music and adventures, I also love the stars. I love how they shimmer and light up the night. Oh, I love, absolutely love, maps. I love how they are detailed and how they are in general. That's really how I got into adventures. I love them now because the maps, they showed me beyond Hobbiton. I also love reading. I always wanted to write a book, but I don't know what about." Explained Bilbo.
"Wow, that's very interesting. I never met anybody that loves maps that much. I find it very unique. So, your a Took? I heard about that family. Is it true that a family member of yours can actually ride a real horse?" Asked Lucy.
"Yep. Bandobras Took. He was the only hobbit that I know that could ride a real horse. I think you should say that he was the only hobbit in histo......" Bilbo said before there was a bell ringing. They both said that maybe it was time to go. When they got their schedules, nothing changed but added subjects for the second and third class. They hurried for history. On the way they had a race, and Lucy won.
"Well Bilbo, can you beat that?," She panted.

Bilbo and Lucy went on many adventures. The first adventure that they had, and personally to both of them, was the adventure of friendship. They were not just friends, but they were best friends. They would tell each other everything. From the deepest, darkest secrets, to what food they ate today and how. They went on other adventures in Hobbiton. When one was away, they would always keep in touch. They created secret whistles that took them two years to make just for communication. They were happy as they could be. But, they didn't know what was going to happen. They were going to start a new adventure.
