Next morning, Ved woke up. He stretched and yawned rubbing his eyes. With his eyes closed and a smile on his face he moved his arm to Natasha's side. He felt the bed empty and frowned. His eyes opened, and he turned his head. He groaned sitting up.
She left – He is disappointed. Then a wild thought crossed his mind. What if she was never here? Ved shook his head and lifted the duvet, peeping inside. He is naked. That means, she was here, and they had made love. His face lit up but then fell again realizing she left early morning.
Sadly, he got up and fished out a track pant. He wore them and began to look for his clothes. There was nothing on the ground. This baffled him.
'Good morning.' Ved is startled on hearing a feminine voice. He turned his head towards the door and found Natasha, in only his white shirt. She stood at the door holding two mugs. She had left few buttons of the shirt undone and her cleavage peeked little from inside. Ved stared at her exposed well-toned long legs briefly before looking at her and smiling.
'Good morning.' He replied.
Natasha walked towards him and held his shoulder. Staring into her eyes he sat down, she sat beside him and forwarded him one mug. Ved glanced into her mug and is surprised to see black coffee in hers as well.
'I thought I will give this a try too.' She shrugged. Ved relaxed. She took a sip and made a face.
'Yuck! How do you guys drink this?' She whined like a cute baby. Ved smiled and leaned.
Natasha is taken aback as he kissed her, - 'Now it will taste better.' He said. Natasha chuckled.
'How filmy?' She said. Ved held her palm and she looked at him. He leaned forward and kissed her again. She smiled and responded.
'Now, it really does taste better.' She said taking a sip. Ved smiled. She then leaned forward and kissed his lips again. Ved instantly reciprocated her kiss.

One week later,
'Wow!' Aditya gaped at the diamond ring that Ved was flaunting proudly.
'What are you going to do with it?' He asked stupidly and Ved facepalmed, mentally.
'I am going to eat it.'
'Huh!' Aditya looked baffled at his friend. Ved smirked and then chuckled.
'Idiot. I am going to propose Natasha. I want to marry her.' Ved announced confidently and Aditya's mouth dropped.
He took a second to compose himself, - 'What about the ring you got for Dia?' His sentence annoyed Ved but he controlled himself and smiled widely.
'I sold that off. Some cash from there, some from my savings and voila.' He raised the diamond ring.
'Serves that jinxed ring, right.' Aditya made a face. Ved sighed leaning against his chair. He kept admiring the ring.
It has been one week since Ved and Natasha had gotten into a relationship. They were girlfriend-boyfriend but no one except them, Asha and Aditya knew. Visiting his favorite coffee joint and a new meaning now. Ved was on cloud nine. He was very happy being with Natasha. They always hang out after his office hours and her shift. When their timings collide, they meet at the Café.
Everything is rosy and perfect, except for one thing. The weekends. It really bugged Ved that she was adamant to not meet on weekends, also she had requested he never comes to her apartment. It sounded fishy to the very the observant Ved, actually, it would be fishy to anyone. But he is too much in love to care.
'Dude.' Aditya held his shoulder and Ved is brought back to reality. He shoved the ring into the pocket of his black trousers and looked attentively at him.
'Can you-fix me with-Asha.' Aditya asked him hopefully. Ved raised his eyebrow and so he clarified.
'Hey! I have a thing for her. I feel a connection.' He spoke dramatically. Ved shook his head. 'I think she has a thing for me too.' Aditya went on. Unable to take his friend's blabbering Ved stood up and patted his shoulder.
'Yeah, yeah.' Ved said to quickly dismiss him. But unfortunately, he wasn't going anywhere and kept eating Ved's head until Mr. Srivastav caught him and scolded him.
'You are from a different department, what time pass are you doing here?'
'Nothing, nothing.' Aditya had said and scurried away. Ved suppressed a smile.
