"Alicia Burrow, straight As, the perfect girl who lays low but still everybody knows about? That's the one I'm talking about. Is there another side to our notorious good girl? Some may think not.
Alicia Burrow, the perfect good girl.
Or is she?"
I sighed as I finished reading the blurb for the article, shaking my head. What was up with these people? All they ever wanted to do was exploit people.
Then again, I thought to myself as I walked down the hallways to my locker, they do have a point. I'm not the most innocent girl in the world, far from it, actually.
As I walked into homeroom, a lot of people were looking at me and whispering about me. I put my head down, putting on my "good girl" act. I sat down next to my best friend, Eilenne. Everyone thinks of her as the popular girl, and I as her "assistant", when really I'm the one running the show.
"Hi." I whispered.
"Hey." Was the reply. "Did you see the…"
"The blurb for the article? Yep." I said, organising my books on the table, since I was in here next class anyway.
"Do you think they're gonna catch you?" Eilenne whispered, leaning in close.
I looked at her seriously. "For real? No. I'm too careful." I said, opening up my laptop and logging onto my special email account that my dad couldn't hack even if he had the whole of wiki leaks helping him.
"Oo! Frat party Saturday night. Wanna go?" I asked Eilenne.
"Not really, I mean a house full of drunk free for alls? Nuh uh." She sat back, crossing her arms.
"It's invite only." I replied.
"But I didn't get one."
"And you didn't let me finish. It's also plus one." I said, smiling at her. "Come on, please? It's Alpha Omega at Geradon. Matt goes there!" I said, pleading with her to come with me. "Please? Please please please please pleeeeaaasseeee???"
Eilenne sighed. "Ugh, fine."
"Yay!" I jumped up and hugged her. "You are amazing."
"What are you dorks being so happy about?", Lexi, try-hard queen bee asked us.
I pushed my glasses up my nose, exaggerating my "nerd" act. "Eilenne's going to take me to a science fair!" I plastered on a fake smile and clapped my hands.
"Ugh, gross." Lexi said, walking off.
"Ding, dong, the bitch is gone." I sang quietly to Eilenne. She covered her mouth with her hand to hide her smile.
At that very moment the bell rang, and Eilenne had to go.
"Bye, I'll see you at break!" She said, picking up her books and leaving. I waved her goodbye, then moved up the front of the classroom, getting out my physics book.
I heard the door open, resisting the urge to look towards the door.
"Hi Alicia!" I heard someone who sounded like they had a blocked nose sit down next to me. I knew he pulled this act just like I did. At least, he put on the voice and outfit choices. He never really wanted to draw attention to himself.
I sighed, turning to face my friend. "Hi Luke." He wasn't really my friend, just my next door nieghbour. People called us the 'nerd couple'. I shivered thinking about it.
"Are you cold?" Shit. I thought. I didn't remember the cause for my shiver was sitting right next to me.
"No, it was just a shiver. You know how you get those?" I said, rubbing my hands up and down my arms.
